Working out helps with my anxiety

I know, this should be a "duh" thing for most people. I've been having anxiety really bad lately and this morning I've felt pretty anxious, I almost felt like I was about to bust into an anxiety attack. I couldn't take it anymore so I random did some push-ups and ab workouts. Nothing long, just 5 minutes or so, enough I put myself out of breath quickly and then I started breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth. It helped way more than I was expecting.
I've been needing to workout anyways, but knowing that it's helping tremendously with my anxiety is motivation itself. I know I'll need to start doing more than 5 minutes but for random anxiety attacks, 5 minutes is pretty nice.
If you're having problems with anxiety, maybe give this a shot?
What other noticeable benefits do you personally feel/see when you workout?

(Grain-to-Grain) Damion5050's Coir Tek (I use 5.5 - 6 quarts of water instead of 4. Also ignore step 13 and ignore the monotub completely. The only purpose of this tek is to show you how to make a simple substrate. I also add gypsum to it but not necessary) Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful) Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

If I'm already anxious and start to work out I find I usually start feeling a lot worse. Regularly exercising helps keep my anxiety levels lower though if that makes sense

Tons of benefits. I do it more for my mental & emotional health than my physical health, although physical health is very important. And I like looking good. I got into working out when I was in rehab, and that's been the number one thing keeping me sane. I fell off for a while due to my schedule, but I've gotten back into it & I'm getting jacked again.

Yeah, it tends to do that.
I try to do pushups, bench dips , planks, crunches, obliques stuff, before I go out for the day. I do 100 reps of each, and then more throughout the day if I am not busy, I also cycle minimum 10 miles a day, and run minimum 3.1 miles a day.
Exercise keeps my mind chill for a few hours afterwards.

Definitely. I think exercising helps in all areas of life. I find when im not exercising i will start becoming more and more lethargic and depressive. I think exercising keeps our body and brain chemistry in a state that is more conductive to happiness and activity

Exercise makes me feel worse /:. I used to love cycling, until it started making me more fatigued, light headed, weak ..and also more anxious. Now I stick to gentle exercises, walking, light yoga. I still go for the odd cycle, but I'm not as hard into it as I used to be.

I've been working out on and off for almost half my life. I always prefer to do it in the morning, cause it makes EVERYTHING about my day feel better.

When I lost my job a few months ago, my depression kicked back in incredibly hard. I lost my insurance at the same time, so seeing my normal doc was a no-go. Luckily, a friend started dragging me to the gym every morning. Keeping a routine, socializing with him, and working out definitely helped me get over the hump, and now I've got a pretty sweet job offer pending a background check.
Keep at it! Staying physically active also helps with your mental activity. It's not a cure-all, but it definitely helps out a lot. Glad to hear you're feeling good

Exercise releases multiple hormones, gets your blood pumping to places that are generally stagnant. Once you see your body changing shape it becomes addiction, just like drugs, trying to push it further and further.

Me too, really sets the mood for the day.
I was cycling a ton last year, but really started to waste away so I toned it down a bit this year in favor of doing numerous things throughout the day, so instead of one long bike ride, I do a shorter bike ride, a run, and calisthenics, I got some free weight too, but only use those 3-4 days out of the week.

You know it does for me too. But at the end of walking 4mph for 2 miles it hurts my neck and back so much I'm laid up for the day.
