concentration of auxin which is a plant hormone that basically tells the plant to grow faster or slower depending on how much auxin is present. By cutting the tallest branch (on an untopped plant this is the main stem) you will redistribute the auxins which will cause for a bushier plant with more places for bud to grow.

Did not know about this hormone! Great to know!

First off looks nice and stealthy! Are there any pests about that could eat or trample your plants? If so i suggest driving some timber steaks into the ground and surround with some sort of netting! Would be a shame if it was doing real well then one day all of a sudden its gone! It happens man! Go top your plants right now!

Can you get a better side on photo of the top of the plant. So we can see the top and middle of the main stem. Il show you where to top!

If you're worried about pests like leafhoppers which hang around the leaves and suck sugars and nutrients out of the leaves take some jalapeƱos or other super hot pepper, blend it up and add water, simmer on your stove at low heat for a while then filter and spray your plant with it

How many nodes tall is it? You could cut it around the 3-th node and transplant the top

You could top at either of these spots. It personally do it at 2. What say you mike?

And dude you dont need root shit! Ive got cuttings to root in jiffy pellets without root gel. and ive also left cuttings in a cup of water, changed water every 3 days and gotten roots. Done this lots!

I dont use cloning gel i use aloe gel. Like fresh aloe gel from aloe plants. Do you have access to aloe vera plants? Its excelent for cloning!

Ok heres what to do with 100% success. And just so you know some strains just cannot be cloned. So it may or may not take. If it is clonable then if you do this it should work.

Things you need

Jiffy pellets. These are super cheap!!!

Clear plastic cups!

Resealable bag! One the size that you would get an oz of weed in!

aloe!

Water!

Ok here we go!

Put about a tsp of gell and chop it up with scissors or knife. This is actually harder than it sounds! I put it in a cup and chop it that way!

Fill your cup with aloe up about 1 1/2 inch with water and stir.

Make your cut! Cut it on a 45 degree angle! Make sure its long enough!!!!!!

Many growers gently scrape or even split the bottom of the cutting so more "raw" insides get exposed. As you can see from the pictures below, the roots grow most easily from the parts of the stem that are raw, so scraping and splitting exposes more "insides," which gives more surface areas for roots to grow out of and promotes faster rooting.

Place Your cuttin in your cup of water with the aloe and let sit for 24 hours!

Ok so your cuttings have been soaking for 24 hours! You are now ready to expand your peat pellets! Soak the amount you require in warm water for 10 minutes

After soaking it i like to ring it out abit so its not holding too much water. I do this to encourage the roots to grow in search of water! Ive run trials with pellets that i havent rung out a little vs ones that i have. The ones with less water show roots first!

Now you want to break it up a little so its not so solid! you want it looseish but not too loose!

Poke a hole in the center where the cutting will go. Put a couple wee cubes of aloe in there! Next you will put your cutting into the center of the sack. I like to put it all the way in balls deep so the stem touches the very bottom of the sack. I dont know what everybody else does but this works for me!

Make sure you trim the fan leaves like the picture!

You should now look like this. Also when you take your cutting, make sure its at the right length so the stem goes right through the sack while standing roughly this tall above the sack!

Give it a light mist with a spray bottle. You do this 2 times per day to provide moisture on the leaves to stop them drying out, Because after all the cutting has no roots so it cannot provide its own water, you have to do it!

Now i open my resealable bad and place the cup in it and seal it up. Put 1 or two small holes at the top for some FAE. You are putting the bag on to hold in moisture and create humidity! The roots will go crazy! This is my own method that i use so i dont have to but a humidity dome! its super cheap and easy and doesnt take up alot of space!!!

Keep It somewhere warm under a flourecent light! If you keep it somewhere with a temp of 23c you should see roots within 7 - 14 days!

Thats all there is to it, its super easy and il be here if you get stuck. But all this info should set you right!

hydroton is more a medium for hydro setups. I dont think thats what you want. If you cant afford jiffy pellets you could just use some soil in a tiny pot! I know people who have cloned without jiffy pellets! They are not necessary but very ideal. Pro choice!

They are super cheap. I pay like 5 dollars for 20 pellets!

So I looked at jiffy things and that's about 15 bucks but all the humidity domes I looked at are like 100 bucks.. And could a resealable bag be a zip lock lol?

Id reccomend jifys but not 100% needed. Fuck those domes Just put your pellet in a clear cujp. bag it and that holds in moisture and creates humidity. Perfect conditions for rooting. way cheaper too
