Bluing conocybe or other small blueing species
    #23438672 - 07/13/16 06:27 PM (7 years, 6 months ago)

Was out looking for foes/cincts in southeast pennsylvania
and moved along to a mossy patch and found this guy.
The mossy patch had different dirt. A bit more sand and some pines.
Small light brown and fairly strong blueing on the base.
Waiting on a print. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Cool find.
Maybe Pholiotina cyanopus? (formerly conocybe cyanopus)

First two pics looks a fair bit like p. semilanceata. you have a shot of the gills for that one? purple print? gelatinous pellicle?  Try to separate the cap a bit, there's a clear sticky membrane on them.
I would double back, search that place deep And hard for more.

Wasn't very slimy. Typical slip feel with
a wet cap. I will go back to look for more
when it's light tomorrow. Too dark now.

Thanks for the help. I'm going along with
foragedfungus and saying a pholiotina of
some kind. I really hope some spores drop.
