Yesterday 4 friends and I took 3 hits each of Lsd at 5:00 pm. The plan was to go to the beach and watch the sunset. Well it was POURING DOWN rain. We decided to drive up there anyway and risk it (yes we had a trip sitter/DD.)
It somehow stops raining as we approach the beach. We get all our shit and start walking to our usual spot, expecting the rain to catch up any second. Once we get there we all start feeling the come up. We get in the water and are completely blown away already by the clearness of the water, the pure white looking sand, and the feeling of the gentle waves moving us back and forth. We were the only ones at the beach due to this insane rainstorm not even a half mile away. We laugh our asses off for so long that tears out coming down our face.
While in the water experiencing the come up getting stronger by the minute, we turn around and all see something amazing. Maybe two arms lengths in front of us a school of about 5 or 6 dolphins surfaced. Im used to seeing dolphins where I live but never been so close. We could feel the presence and shear size/power of these creatures and just stood frozen in place. It was like we both acknowledged each other and showed our respect and the dolphins kept moving. Every time they surfaced we would hear them blow out air/water. They were no more than 5 feet away from us at one point.
We continued to float in the water in complete amazement until we realized we were beginning to drift into the channel. (current/riptide is no joke at this beach.) So we decided to make our way back to shore and smoke some weed. The weed sets us over the edge. We could no longer communicate in a coherent manner but all understand each others feelings and words anyways. We really felt as one sitting under the trees listening to the sounds of nature.
At this point the storm began to come over the beach. We turned around and were greeted by a HUGE mass of black clouds. Almost instantly the wind began howling thru the trees and sand began to get in our eyes. LOUD thunder and lightning posed a serious threat to us and we were terrified. We were in no condition to walk back to the car and we were determined to watch the sunset. We made the bold decision to wait it out, and Within 30 minutes this gnarly rainstorm had passed over our part of the beach and not rained a drop. We were now surrounded by rainstorms in front, behind and all around us with a fucking circle of clear skies right above our section of the beach.
We were in complete awe and feeling fucking great. I felt mother nature and it was like she cut us a break. The trees, the sand, and the water all showed the same wave pattern. At this time the sun began to set. 2 friends went to watch the sunset in the water, while me and the other 2 watched it from the beach. Seeing the sun go down right behind the massive black cloud of thunder and lightning was like nothing I have EVER seen before, There were even dozens of fishing boats just anchored out offshore watching this. My friends in the water were yelling "you guys gota come in the water to see it from here" and we were yelling "NO WAY our view is better come up here!"
God damn I wish I could describe better how fucking gorgeous it was. The pitch black cload above the sun with the golden rays of sunshine shining thru made parts of the sky completely pink and purple. It had such an impact on me. I get emotional just thinking about it. We all agreed it was the most beautiful thing we have ever seen and it brought us all to tears. All we could say was "this is the craziest thing I have ever experienced." I felt so happy that I realized that all you need in life is to be happy. Nothing else matters but that. As long as your happy and can let things like that sunset continue to make you happy, nothing can take that happiness from you, not a shitty day at work, not a break up, NOTHING.
It was now dark and we had to find our way home. We ended up drinking back at my place and talking about our experience for the rest of the trip.
Theres no point in me posting this other than the fact that I am just completely blown away by this experience and feel the need to share. LSD is such a beautiful chemical and I think I have seen what it has to show me for now. I dont think trips can get better than that like what more could you ask for. Every emotion was felt that day in the most intense of ways. Thanks for reading if anyone made it through!
