33 people hospitalized after K2 overdoses

Dozens of half-dead people blindly staggered through the streets of a Brooklyn neighborhood known as “Zombieland” Tuesday morning, propping themselves up against fire hydrants and vomiting foam down their shirts.
But the apocalyptic scene wasn’t for a movie. The victims had apparently smoked a bad batch of the “synthetic marijuana” drug known as K2 — and 33 people had to be hospitalized.
“It looked like a scene out of ‘The Walking Dead,’ ” said Brian Arthur, a lifelong Brooklyn resident who posted footage of the disheartening scene on Facebook.
“They didn’t know their whereabouts, and some couldn’t even get up off the floor. One guy was even trying to hold himself up with a Johnny pump [fire hydrant]. It was ridiculous.”
In Arthur’s video, police can be seen corralling some of the drug users as others lose their minds.
“Look at these dudes — they can’t even stand straight,” he says, while walking through the junkie wasteland, panning to people passed out on the concrete. “This is crazy!”
Cops said the druggies started dropping like flies at around 9:40 a.m., with most of them being found on the sidewalk and subway platforms near Broadway and Myrtle Avenue — a notorious spot for K2 users that has been dubbed “Zombieland” by cops and residents.
“That area is ground zero for K2 addicts,” a police source said. “They have people there who are zonked out on K2 all the time.

I am so thankful I got off that shit and hope all these people can do the same.
The physical withdrawal from K is hell though!

that shit looks like heroin.
what a way to downplay the epidemic to blame it on another drug that doesn't have these kind of side effects.

The problem is "spice" is a pretty much meaningless term.
It's kind of like saying "opiates cause these side effects" then describing something specific to a specific opiate or type of opiates.

Well there's no telling what analog was on the blend. There are some really nasty ones, eam-2201...NM-2201....those are fucking deadly for sure.
It's just like saying bathsalts blablabla.
I know its a stereotype to a lot of drugs, but there are cannabanoids that cause horrendous side effects and it's been documented time and time again. Passing this off on the "Heroin epidemic" is silly.

Yeah I wasn't trying to agree with him about that, there is a drug epidemic in general happening.

I've tried a lot of them.
jwh-018 jwh-250 jwh-073 am-2201 Akb-48 ur-144 Fub-akb eam-2201
and roughly 20 others I can't ramble off the to of my head......
The only ones I felt were "Safe" were jwh 250, akb 48, and fub-akb. The rest got fuckin nasty and so addictive and were completely terrible.
xlr-11. That was on a lot of blends for a while causing havoc upon havoc in my area. My girlfriend at the time (late 2012) was working at a head shop and they told her to toss all of the blend in the trash because the cops told them to ditch it all or pay the price. She brought it home cause it was like 400-500 grams of the shit.
We smoked like 3 grams before we were like fuck this and literally sat there and dumped all of it out of each container and threw it in a trash bag with bleach and disposed of it in a bar dumpster no one would dig in ( mostly broken bottles ) to avoid anyone else or animals getting into it. The shit was so fucking nasty.
I wish they'd legalize marijuana already, it being illegal is the only reason this shit is around.

It probably still would to a lesser degree, there will always be clandestine chemists and drug enthusiasts looking for that next great high, but there wouldn't be as much desperation to replace what one seeks. 9/10 people who smoke cannabanoids only do it because they can't smoke weed, however, I have met some people who prefer the noids over actual mj.

I'm not a fan of speed.
I didn't blindly do most of the chemicals I named, I waited til they were tried for a few months through out forums and gave them a go. I rarely try a super new chemical out before there are reports.
I only did "bathsalts" one time and it's because the head shop owner sold it to me as JWH-018, having no clue what he was talking about and it was when jwh was fresh to the market. I bought it and freebased that shit like a champ with two chicks and had the weirdest threesome ever.
It was not something I wanted to repeat.
I have had methylone a few times, didn't like it, 4-MEC I have done because punks were selling it as molly and I would do their free rail just to tell them it was garbage and to kick rocks. I have done mephedrone once and it gave me some of the longest last side effects of any drugs.
But bathsalts in general, nah.
I like some cannabanoids. Some of them are extremely pleasant, visual, long lasting, and aren't nearly as addictive as others. The issue with those blends is there would be multiple chemicals on one blend and it would get you hooked and keep coming back. Some were too short lived to enjoy, some too intense to enjoy.
The AKB's are just right in every way. They are extremely similar to marijuana. FUB-AKB was like a 2.5-3 hours MJ high with an amazing euphoria added to it that made me hard as a rock on it. Stuff was incredible.
