Just wasn't sure if they still need misting or not after harvest and second dunk. Thanks

Yes, mist according to what the surface is looking like. As a general rule, if it's not glistening with tiny beads of water, then it needs to be misted. The constant evaporation of moisture from the surface is a major pinning trigger.

OK thank you. So after pinning begins, stop misting?? Had some good cakes that were misted all the way through fruiting and did well, but learned that they don't need misting after bigger fruits appear. Maybe they would have done even better had the misting been cut back

It's fine, just don't overdo it. Mushrooms love the misting, just don't have any pooling water on the surface. A quick spritz or two should be all they need. No need to spray like a madman. You have to find that balance

Basically as the fruits get larger they are able to maintain their microclimate more efficiently, and misting is required less frequently only because water is evaporating more slowly.

Well, I mist like 6 times a day, but it's light misting and fanning right after, so there's never any water sitting on top. Just a slight glisten.

Mist/fan based on your own observations inside of your FC. It doesn't matter how many times you mist or fan, it really doesn't mean much because each FC's environment is slightly different and unique.
Mist/fan when cakes look dry. Wait. When they look dry again, mist/fan, and repeat.
