Starting to get back into it. Was wondering if there's any long term dreamers and what your journey has been like?

I haven't had a lucid dream in over a year, but I used to have them pretty frequently. I always fly while having them. When I first learned to fly in dreams it was like swimming. Now I can fly at the speed of light by just thinking about it. I can also bend matter with my mind and fly through walls. In one of the last lucid dreams that I had, I was looking at white fluffy clouds in a blue sky. I turned the clouds into geometric shapes like cubes, prisms, etc. After that I turned the biggest cloud into a gigantic angel. It was awesome!

I used to use lucid dreams as a stepping stone to astral projection. These episodes were the most psychadelic experiences of my life. I'll try and remember to post details when it isn't so late. But these episodes made inception look like idk glengary glenross?(is that a boring dull drab film? Anyway they made inception look like boring normal sobriety)
Ok here's a brief one. It was a 4 or five level deep dream. I took a shitload of kratom one night, knocked myself into a lucid dream.
I dreamt i woke up on acid, so i walk out my door. When i walk out i instantly sit up in my bed waking up into the middle of a shroom Trip. So i walk out tripping on shrooms only to snap back up in bed tripping on shrooms and acid.(I've never combined these two in real life) So i walk out my room on shrooms and acid only to snap back up this time on mescaline (have never had mesc irl).
At this point i dreamt that i had tripped so hard on acid that i forgot i took it, so i took shrooms, which made me trip so hard in addition to the acid that i forgot i had taken anything, so i took mesc. Basically at this point evrrything was so surreal i honestly believed i had taken all these drugs and put myself into a psychadelic coma. So i used all my stregnth i could muster to wake up.
It was like each dream was a rung on a ladder. I got to see each dream play in reverse like a vcr when all of a sudden...
BAM astral projection. Don't remember much of it. Just body vibrating like a circuit ready to blow. Swimming through indescribable scenery and hearing god him or herself (if your into that idk it was ... weird). Then he tild me to wake uo.
My alarm went off and i actually woke up this time. I stumbled out of bed thinking I'd slept for a thousand years. I threw uo and went to work and was back in boring ass normal life. Still high from the 40 grams i ate 30 minutes before this episode.

Shit man that's crazy. Kratom does give me a lot of that in between sleep and awake feeling. I can see it being helpful for initiating lucid dreaming. I was into it for a summer 3 years ago and had some fascinating times. But I took up smoking and it killed my dream recall. Now that I don't smoke that often, I'm getting back into it. Still working on staying in the dream. I want to try the spinning technique next time.
Those dreams within dreams are quite confusing. I'll have an intense dream, wake up into another dream and be telling people about the dream I had just to realize I'm in another dream, then repeat. Fucking weird but very entertaining haha

I'm almost always aware I'm in a dream every time I have one, but rarely ever do I have control over the dream or it's rather limited in how much control I have. Not even sure if that would be considered lucid dreaming lol

Been lucid dreaming since I was thirteen off and on. I'm now 41 and have kept a dream journal for over 10 years.

I had one lucid dream, lasted long enough to fly out of the house that triggered my awareness and into outer space. I snapped out of the dream into sleep paralysis where the real ride occurred. My brain was still producing hallucinations, visual and auditory. Saw ghostly figures, heard horses galloping... I won't go into too much detail but it was a profound experience to feel physical hands touching my body when nothing was there

Sleep paralysis is fucking insane. It can be as good as it can bad.
Have you guys ever tried reading in a dream? I heard somewhere it's impossible, I've only read in a couple and i remember it being acid type morphing hieroglyphs, chinese and alien and dutch letters. I was looking at a package of oscar meyer bolgna.
Another time i tried reading shroomery while dreaming and it was like in the shining "all work and no play... etc" except it was a bunch of posts of people saying "are you fucked up?" But random capital letters and misspelled and they all posted by the user "fucked up":

Not sure what you mean by "what has your journey been like?" ?
But I've been lucid dreaming since I was around 5 or 6 years old, it's something that just came naturally to me. I've always been a oneironaut and have experienced lots of other "sleep/dream" related phenomena like sleep paralysis, astral projection, etc....All of which I was experiencing long before I even knew these things had a name or knew what it was I was going through.
I'll go through periods where I have LD's several times a week, then other times where I'll go a week or two with out having one, the frequency that I'm fully lucid in my dreams ebbs & flows through out the year....but generally, I have a LD once a week on average. And even when I'm not fully lucid my dreams are quite vivid every single night .
I've also been a daily smoker of cannabis for about the past decade, and it hasn't dulled down my dreams at all like it seems to do for most folks.

Yeah smoking weed severely diminished my ability to remember dreams or become lucid. I've been pretty into the past couple weeks. Had 3 last night even. One of which I flew around for 5 minutes ish, woke up and did the WILD technique and feel right back into another lucid dream. I also had one where I fucked this girl and my orgasm was so intense I was positive I had a wet dream, but nope haha
I'm working on new techniques such as spinning to stay in a dream, rubbing/looking at hands and repeating "I'm dreaming" outloud or "increase clarity, etc" Sometimes I just enjoy exploring the dream realm while experimenting with tricks to stay in the dream lucidly as long as possible.
I love weed and psychedelics don't get me wrong, but lucid dreaming and meditation have their special place in my sober heart haha
I too, used to have many flying lucid dreams as a child, but never knew the details of it. It's weird that a lot of people I've talked to about this phenomenon have never even had a single lucid dream. Thought it was more common

My first wet dream... At the time i must have been 16 and we had a hot neighbour. I never talked to her except the odd hello.
So in the dream i was at at her doorstep about to go on a date with her in the middle of the day. I was about to knock on the door but instead i lay on the doorstep and began to hump the door mat. I kept humping and then all of a sudden i woke up and i had jizzed myself.
The end.
No joke i laughed so hard i couldn't believe that was my first wet dream was with a door mat.... fuckin hell...

flying lucid dreams are the best! one time I was driving in my lucid dream and took off to the moon in my car, another time i had a flying machine and glided over my city. once i was on a motorcycle and jumped and kept going.
I had a horrifying lucid dream once where I was climbing on a really tall jungle gym type thing, like up in the sky. Then I got on this elevator that took me further into the sky and jumped off and fell. another time i was climbing on rollercoasters. i had a real fear of heights. was like a lucid nightmare lol
One time I smoked DMT in my dream and everything because amazingly vibrant colors in a wonderland type place.
Sucks I dont lucid dream anymore.
My dreams would normally start with sleep paralysis, and I would "climb" out of my body. I had a lot of trouble staying in a dream a lot of the time, my vision would go "black" and id be back in sleep paralysis. I got over this by looking at my hands a lot IRL and doing "reality checks", and it carried over to the dream world and allowed me to more easily stay lucid.

never suceeded, came clsoe a number of times having semi lucid moments, i think this is when people have been knocking on my door and i was keeping a dream log which has stopped till the other day, had such a strong vivid dream, ive listened to lucid hypnotic stuff and never helped, but i do love the album lucid dreams on the em:t record label with this woman Celia Green and a few others narrating chapters from her book on lucid dreams with some strange music, great to fall a aleep too.
