I'm going to go ahead and speculate that the vast majority of that 8% were violent criminals that left them no choice.
In the meanwhile my guess is you'd speculate the complete opposite and that the vast majority of that 8 percent were upstanding citizens that were targeted by rogue cops out to quench their uncontrollable thirst for blood.
So, if you aren't an upstanding citizen, you are fair game?
Obviously not, man. I'm talking about legitimately dangerous & violent criminals. You do agree that there are plenty of very dangerous human beings out there, correct? Just pick up a city newspaper. Any one of them. Read through it for a week and go over all of the crime articles. Specifically the violent crime stories.
It's endless, dude. There are stories weekly, even daily that'll make your stomach churn. Or should, anyway. It's just reality that some of these people will cross paths with the law, and when you mix the two together -- shit's bound to hit the fan.

I tried to listen to it on the radio when I was driving but I missed W's speech, and caught just the beginning of Obama's.

Outside of Fox I highly doubt any of the other networks, since they're just about all liberal dominated and ran, would've given W a single second worth of airtime.

That's true, and I haven't had cable news in many years
They say Fox is so right wing biased, but honestly I've always just seen them as giving "the other side" equal air time, I've seen quite a few progressives on there that have made my head spin, Bob Beckel, Greta, Geraldo, Meghan Kelly, and many more, I'm pretty sure they have just as many liberal progs as they do conservatives.

I just gotta scratch my head sometimes at the way this country is going.....Like How the fuck it could be legal ANYWHERE to carry assault rifles....but, especially at a charged up rally. Something is broke in that formula.
We, as a society are getting way too paranoid and Texas is just plain off the charts nuts. I don't know how they could even keep cops on the payroll there...seems like a dangerous job...I think I'd rather take a job on one of those crab boats in the Bering Sea....much safer. Seems like we're going back in time instead of progressing into a more evolved society.

That is the definition of murder (It doesn't have to be a shooting, obv)
HOMICIDE [hom-uh-sahyd, hoh-muh-] noun 1. the killing of one human being by another.
thanks for clearing that up, now that we know that self defense falls under homicide, and murder is an unlawful killing of another human, how many homicides are justifiable, how many are justifiable homicides committed by the police?

Not at all....I have my guns and if anybody encroaches on my domicile, they will meet at least one of them. I don't need to go around toting them at my kids graduation ceremonies or pizza hut. WTF? Our country is going backwards because of planted anxieties so much that we probably won't even know when a real threat actually comes...kinda like your hero Dubbya when he was with the school kids on 9/11 and how he didn't skip a beat with his little school kid interaction while the towers were coming down. I don't think he grasped that there was actually a crisis happening.
No matter who gets elected, our Congress is so acidic that nothing good will come of it until there are major changes in attitudes. The fear mongering of the Ultra conservative Christian right has made such inroads into both houses that it may take decades to right the ship.
I used to be a republican for over 30 years until I just could no longer condone what was going on in this party. Everyone has been visceral and focused only on undoing what others have achieved for the benefit of the citizens of this country. Instead of taking something new like affordable health care and trying to tweak it and get it working more smoothly....they just lambaste it and focus all their energies and billions of tax payer dollars on undoing it. Christ, that is still on their agenda. Closing borders is now on the agenda as well. I watched Reagan tell Gorbachev to "Tear down that wall" on TV....now, we're building one...Holy shit.....Let's fear all strangers....give everyone the cold shoulder...fear begets only more fear and pretty soon we're living in a police state.....IDK, maybe that's what you want?

"Let's fear all strangers"
Hmm, I don't think that's the issue, it's called preserving national sovereignty.
"living in a police state"
No, it's called enforcing the existing immigration law, you don't have issue with that mandate, do you?

Haven't you heard? Enforcing immigration laws is only a problem when western countries do it. When we do it, it's racist, when everyone else does it, it's just common sense.
In other news, anyone hear about the Swedish women being raped and molested at an "anti-racist concert" recently? Just a coincidence that they were all "foreign" men
