Need help with Iris
    #23416489 - 07/06/16 10:23 AM (7 years, 7 months ago)

I had to dig up a flower bed full of Iris today.
I saved as many plants as I could.

How would I go about re-planting these?
Conditions probably arn't the the best at the moment it's winter with pretty heavy rains and frost.

They should be fine, so long as you get them in before early spring.  Iris are as tough as old boots, I had some in a tray for a couple of months late summer before I could get them into the ground.
As for planting them, make sure each piece that you put in has an 'eye' or where new leaves/buds are forming.  Don't plant them to deep, just below the surface, or they could rot.  It's a bit of a balancing act, the deeper the cover of soil, the less likely they are to be attacked by grub.

They are pretty hard to kill though

No eye, no growth point, so plant won't grow.
