Building a grow room: Wood frame covered in plastic: some questions
    #23434803 - 07/12/16 12:18 PM (7 years, 6 months ago)

So I've got an enclosure, pretty much a walk in closet made with a wood frame and covered in metal mesh. I've simply duct taped a bunch of plastic sheeting over the entire interior surface, taking care to cover up any exposed wood/metal with either plastic or tape.

I don't see why that wouldn't be enough to prevent the wood underneath from molding. Should work alright no? Plastic is a barrier preventing waters entry yes?

Then the floor is plywood, not quite sure what to do with that. People talk about how grow rooms must be sprayed down daily with a hose...why? I mean periodically with bleach I understand but daily? I might be able to install a drain that empties under the house or something if its truly necessary.

I figure I'll do extra water protection on the floor, haven't figured out what yet though.
