Accidental BRF Maitake inoculation.
    #23434398 - 07/12/16 09:02 AM (7 years, 6 months ago)

So I was inoculating some BRF cakes in the PF Tek fashion and wasn't paying attention (lesson learned) and inoculated 8 jars with Maitake spores. They seem to be colonizing the jars but I know that this is not an appropriate substrate. I was thinking about crumbling these guys into some supplemented sawdust. Any thoughts? Any other ideas? Fingers crossed.

Here's a pic of the jar that seems to be colonizing so far.

The best thing to do, use it as spawn for a new sub, like you said.
If that verm was paper, you could have fruited.

Thanks Ferather, this is going to be an indoor grow. If you were me what substrate would you spawn it to?

If you are going to use paper, here is a good guide.
If wood or straw use it like it was grain spawn.

You where already on the right path.
