Growing plants from seed to maturity, is hard to believe

Every time I plant a seed in hopes of growing something there is a significant part of me that does not believe it's going to work.
I just can't believe that this tiny little seed is somehow going to grow into a bush or a tree, it seems to difficult, it seems almost hopeless.
I've planted many plants and trees, so I have a large amount of successful experience to draw from, which helps in motivating me to carry the project to the end. But no matter what there is a part of me that that can't believe it, that is astonished when it actually works, 'did that really happen? I can't believe that worked'.
Even right after being successful, that part of me looks at a seed and thinks, it doesn't seem likely this is going to work.
Strange but true, it doesn't bother me, because like I said I have enough momentum to draw from that it doesn't slow me down when I want to actually plant something. I feel the same way about mushrooms, astonished when they actually pop up.
Anyone else get that feeling?
I must not be the only one because I went to my neighbors garden and his plants were miserable and near dying. I'm like your soil is all wrong, your fertilizer is wrong etc. He has seen my garden and knows how much experience I have, yet he still just somehow can't quite believe me enough to take my advice and argues with me about my advice saying he's right and I'm using the wrong soil, even though the proof is right in front of his face, he just can't believe what his eyes are seeing.

Growing tobacco is about the only one that blows my mind sometimes, like how does such a large plant, come from such a tiny speck of a seed.
Mind = Blown.

I coyldnt believe when i would plant a peyote seed that a decent size cactus would be my return. It happened many many years later. Seeds carry the genetics to be like its momma. Enter mustard seed. Have y you seen a mustard seed them seen the tree?

Very well put. Every time I plant a seed part of me doubts anything will come of it. The potential within such a small package is astounding, never ceases to amaze.
