Finding a fan to my hepa filter for flowhood

Hello everyone! I will be constructing a flowhood and will be using this http://www.fungi.com/product-detail/product/24-x-24-x-58-micron-filter.html filter but I am having a hard time on figuring out which fan I should get. Mainly at what cfm is should be at?
Thank you to anyone who helps me out!

Ask them for the full spec of the filter, without that you can't know.
Two different filters of the same size can have cause different pressure drops. Two fans of the same CFM move different quantities of air once you put filters infront of them.
It's not hard to work it out but you do need to work it out, for that you need the full spec of both the filter and any fan you might use.

They recommend this fan http://www.fungi.com/product-detail/product/universal-blower-1040-cfm-8-sp.html
But when I calculate it, i come up with 450 cfm But this one is 1,040?

You want some headroom as the filter will block over time and the pressure drop will increase, you can always turn it down with a cheap dimmer switch. Bigger fans at reduced speeds are often quieter moving the same volume of air as a smaller fan screaming along at 100%, not a huge issue but worth noting.
Looking at the site it's the smallest fan they have that is still powerful enough for that filter which might be why they are suggesting it. Id look elsewhere for something cheaper and less powerful.

4 sq ft at 100 cfm/ sq ft + 200 cfm extra to be safe
around 600 cfm should be plenty after the static pressure
i used the dayton 1td47 485 cfm for 2 sq ft laminar and it works well

You had to add the power cord on that correct?

Yes. I bought a normal extension cord from the hardware store, cut the fem end off and wired the green wire as the ground to the metal ground bolt in the wirebox, and the black and white wires had to test for positive or negative, and that will direct your blowers air direction

It'll probably work fine. If you want to be totally certain you can call dayton and ask for their cfm / static pressure charts or data, and match it to the rated static pressure of you laminar filter. Or you can return the blower if it doesn't work as well
I'd double check with the retailer on the return policy if you can't get the data from Dayton

Pretty sure the filter is .8 sp and this fan runs at 500 at .8 sp so I think I'll go with that one! https://m.grainger.com/mobile/product/DAYTON-Rectangular-OEM-Blower-With-1TDT8
