I'm not a criminal who joined a group of like minded people nor running out committing crime instead of earning my money legitimately. I don't live my life victimizing people.

true but that is relatively small-fry stuff to a global superpower, the resources the state has are just so vast, beyond simply weapons. For the populace to actually somehow unite against the state though I think you would have to see extreme displays of inhumanity, the kind which the folks in charge are not stupid enough to enact. As long as enough people are comfortable or at least complacent, you won't see anything like revolution.

From a black Harvard Professor- "police shootings- the study finds no racial bias...there's a disproportional number of tense interactions among blacks and the police when shootings could occur, and thus a disproportional outcome for blacks"

interesting certainly I was annoyed when some blm folks came on the radio recently, making all these rather extreme accusations and stating the Canadian police and the law itself are racist when asked what particular policies or what examples of racism they were talking about by the interviewer however, they came up short
it's certainly tiring people getting away with rhetoric and sloganizing without ever being questioned

well luckily in Canada you can, as proved by the interviewer.
we have very few black folks tho and much less history there so I suppose that makes sense (Canada is only about 4% black, and nearly all of that is in Ontario)

You can ask them the questions, but any supporters of BLM won't care when they can't come up with legitimate answers and will just assume that the person asking questions is a right wing racist.

this is why I think while BLM has legitimate concerns their approach is detrimental. If the extent of racism in the country is really even nearly as systemic as they claim, then open discussion surely would be the best approach. it is rather irritating the amount of people who think 'open discussion' translates as 'don't debate sensitive topics, always side against whitey'

I just remembered a ridiculous thing people kept posting on the hashtags for those police shootings last week: "They keep killing our fathers and making fun of us for not having any". As if the police killings even make a dent in the insane number of fatherless black kids.

This may sound really racist to some folks, but usually whenever I've seen a large group of African Americans gather at gas stations, there has always been lots of dancing.
I don't think you could call this celebrating, just acting casual.

Even when they're surrounded by police patrols a hour after the shooting of 10 cops, I don't think so, it's quite obvious what was taking place.
