Is love without a meaning??
1. What does love mean to you?
2. Have you ever experienced it (love) , platonically or otherwise?
3. Could love be the zenith of the human experience?
4. Do you kill harmless lifeforms in your home, such as insects? 4a. Is your life more valuable than theres?
5.Do you believe we have an obligation to this planet?
6. Would you like to help heal The planet? (us as well)? What are you doing to achieve that goal?
7. What else could you be doing to help heal this planet?

1: Everything. 2-4 Yes 5 No,honestly I just have an obligation to myself, my lover and my family
Question 6 and 7 are hell of general and assuming. Honestly bullshit questions like what's the answer to life? If you want to change the world start by helping the people you walk/drive past everyday.

What a completely asinine thread. Of course you don't kill insects in your house. You pull off their legs with tweezers and set them adrift on toilet paper rafts inside the pot.

Response to q4, q4a- yes. Why is your life more valuable than the pests that you exterminate?
q5, 6,7 responses: Don't you leave your children (family) a better life by improving the planet?

Question 1 : I'm sentient and not a bug. Great example of not all life being equal. That's a little like saying water conservation is murdering grass.
Question 2: Nope. I feel like I'll give my family and future family a better life by working hard at my career and giving them unconditional love.Making them happy,Teaching them how to love people and to be honest and genuine. That's all I want for my future son/daughter.

What makes you think individuals can change the world? It's only when people are united under hatred or sometimes love that we as a human race can make advancements as far as loving each other .Give me an example of one single person that changed every country on this planet . And please don't say Einstein or Ghandi or some shit because I'm sure my kids won't be dumb but I doubt they will be a Martin Luther King type and even he only effected America at least at first until the dissolving of apartheid and such with Nelson Mandela . My point is I just want my kids to be comfortable and love life.

Love is meaningless.
Freedom from "love" is everything.
Freedom is to leave other people alone to their own choices and devices. Freedom is being self reliant. Freedom is not giving a shit about your own or others opinions about other people, and seeing a person as a person and not as someone/something owing something to you, or someone expecting something from you.

1. What does love mean to you? It's an experience. An energy that consciousness can tap into. I think love is often confused for lust and attachment, and co-dependence can often develop from this. At the deepest of levels everyone really just love themselves. Recognizing the you in another creates that outward projection of the experience.
2. Have you ever experienced it (love) , platonically or otherwise? Yeah, I've experienced a variety of love.
3. Could love be the zenith of the human experience? It could be if you believe there's a zenith to the human experience.
4. Do you kill harmless lifeforms in your home, such as insects? No. 4a. Is your life more valuable than theres? No.
5.Do you believe we have an obligation to this planet? Objectively, no; but if we are smart we will learn to live harmoniously with it. Subjectively, yes; our origins likely stem from this planet, making it the ultimate source of all the ancestral generations that lead up to our species conception. I think it's only right to respect and care for the one who gave you birth. That is a love that should remain unconditional.
6. Would you like to help heal The planet? (us as well)? What are you doing to achieve that goal? Yeah, I plan to. I'm trying to get a landscaping company up and running on top of an herbal shop that is starting to pick up. I plant to focus on permaculture and xeriscaping with the landscaping company. Implementing more sustainable practices and reducing water sensitive plants in landscapes will cut down on water needs and reduce fertilizer leaching into ground water supplies.
7. What else could you be doing to help heal this planet? What is this, an essay?
-------------------- Aaa...E I O Uuu...A E I O Uuu..A E I O uh Uuu.. *Cough* *Cough* Ooo...U E I O Aaa...U E I Aaa..A E I O Uuuuu... At first sight, The Perfection of Wisdom is bewildering, full of paradox and apparent irrationality.

Love is when you want to do something to help another (person, animal, being) The opposite is hate, wanting to do harm to them.
2-3 yes,
4, generally only if they are irritating me.
4a I don't know, possibly yes.
5 I think we'd all be better off if people thought the answer was yes. If people had love for eachother they wouldn't trash the planet in a way that negatively affects the next generation.. thus no feeling of obligation(guilt) is needed if love exists..
6 Yes, I think developing alternative green technologies that are competitive with destructive polluting technologies is a good way to go. Finding a way to de-weed corn crops without round up would be one idea.
7. participating in discussions like this one ?

I'd love to get into this topic with you Movement; it's my favourite topic of all time. But I'm fucking tired and you seem to have managed to make the whole thing about 20x more complicated than it needs to be. Another time man.
-------------------- Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not. --Jac O'keeffe

Yeah I was planning on drawing connections to loving another to loving the planet and helping heal it. I should have just put it all in the OP, but didn't want to frame the answers. I'd also love to talk to you about it, me sometimeQuote:

in some cases, yes. In a financial sense and political sense, some lives are simply more valuble. In a made up scenario, you HAD to choose between saving the life of a president or 'The Movement' obviously we'd choose to save the president

If someone shows strong personal interest, I tend to feel pressured to reciprocate those feeling in order to not hurt their feeling. But if I don't feel it then I don't want to be fake and pretend, so it puts me in an awkward position. So I tend to want to avoid that person in order to avoid that awkward pressure.

Is love without a meaning?? No, an example of a definition of love though there are many: an intense feeling of deep affection. Love is a word.
1. What does love mean to you? What the word is defined as.
2. Have you ever experienced it (love) , platonically or otherwise? Yes 3. Could love be the zenith of the human experience? Perhaps, but who is to say? How can we measure, and does human experience necessarily have a zenith?
4. Do you kill harmless lifeforms in your home, such as insects? Mostly wasps so perhaps not harmless, but yes.
4a. Is your life more valuable than theres? From my perspective yes. From the perspective of my species yes. From the perspective of sentience yes. All we have is a perspective. I don't believe in universal truth or value
5.Do you believe we have an obligation to this planet? I believe we do, in so far as 'we' extends to moral thinking humans. But again, that's just one persepective
6. Would you like to help heal The planet? (us as well)? What are you doing to achieve that goal? yes. I do nothing. I don't know what action is even effective.
7. What else could you be doing to help heal this planet? I don't know, perhaps if I knew I'd do it. Perhaps not

Not yet. I've wanted one for 7 years now. It'll cost me like 1500$ in the end to get one. I was indebt for 5 years, I was in and out of debt for the last 2 years and now I'm finally out of debt and accumulating. I need a few more items before I can live perfectly and then when I'm all set and finacially stable, I'll bring in the baby cat. I don't want to raise my cat in poverty.
Plus I went camping last week and a guy had sphynx cat and I was able to pet him. God damn do I want one of these cats...
