Coconut oil in the shower and for toothpaste.

I have been using coconut oil in the shower on my skin, the raw chunky stuff, it gets rather malleable when the water is hot in the shower, and really keeps my skin feeling nice, I also use it instead of shampoo because I have naturally dry skin, and it really keeps the itch away on my scalp.
I have been reading about a thing called oil pulling as well, which seems legit, you swish coconut oil around your mouth first thing in the morning, do this for 10-20 minutes for numerous health benefits. I have also been brushing my teeth with a homemade Himalayan pink salt, baking soda, coconut oil mixture, shits wonderful.
I was curious if any of you guys use coconut oil for any reasons besides cooking, it really is great stuff.

I like the pulling, but it takes a while to do so, I have seen the minimum amount of time to be listed as 10 minutes, with the best time being listed as 20 minutes.
But, it's definitely great stuff to use in the shower, holy smokes it's wonderful.

Does it rinse out well? Like does it come off your skin and out of your hair in the water? I've heard it's good for scars and it'd be dope if it could help a few of mine. One is like 8x2 and I'd love to get it less...obvious lol

I should try the coconut oil for shampoo. Sounds fantastic!!! I don't know why I never did actually. I always buy the coconut shampoo or body wash.
I make these oil run ons for my skin too and have plenty of almond and coconut oil for various things.

My hair is short, so applies and rinses out easily, but I don't know how well this would work if my hair was still long. I know some people use it with long hair. When I was searching it, I saw numerous pics of ladies using it with long hair, so guess that's possible. When I had long hair in the past, I never put oil in it, so am not familiar with the technique involved in doing so.
As far as on the skin, yeah it's good on the skin, you can rub some on dry spots and let it sit there for a bit, then rub some more and it rubs in well, leaves the skin feeling nice, and you smell tropical, ladies love the tropical scents man. 60% of the time, it works every time.

The only reason I try straight up coconut oil, instead of the already made shampoos/washes, is because I am trying to downsize everything I own, and if I can find one product I can use for numerous things, well then that's great.
The more simplistic I can make all things in my life, the better.
I read about Argan oil too, it's supposed to be really nice, some people get clogged pores from coconut oil, but not from Argan oil. So if you're prone to skin issues, perhaps Argan would be a good choice.

Same. I also shave my face and head with it, it's some pretty versatile stuff.
