It's fucked up, brilliant, but fucked up.

I do think that the media is actually trying to start a race war, as crazy as it sounds -- but not so big bro can take away more of our rights. The media is, aside from Fox, is liberal dominated. I can't see them wanting to aid the government in taking more rights away.

I think their motivation is a lot more simple than that.

Ratings and votes. The blood thirsty white cop versus helpless innocent black person narrative does very, very well in the ratings department, and when it leads to something bigger, such as the Baltimore riots or this past week's Dallas shootings, the ratings are absolutely through the roof. These are some of the highest ratings you'll ever see across television, period. TV ratings equal money, and lots of it. And yeah those TV personalities in front of the camera act all heartbroken and shit but behind closed doors the suits and ties at these networks are popping champagne.

And the votes. Undoubtedly the bigger motivation. The TV ratings are just the icing on the cake. But as we all know this is a massive political issue, white guilt and the white man keeping the black man down, and now, blood thirsty white cops systematically gunning them down (even though the stats clearly don't bear that out, but people will buy into anything so long as the media says it's true). The left can use that as a platform and say that they're fighting for them. And it ensures virtually an entire race of votes.

this whole right vs left thing is a farce.
neither the republicans nor the democrats stand for your rights or freedoms. They both answer to the money. I don't think they want a race war, what they want is to keep people divided, poorly informed and distrustful of their fellow citizens. On both sides of the political line, the rhetoric is fear-mongering, just different kinds.

If you think either party is your friend, you are just falling for the illusion of choice.
