Need help: melted micropore tape and foil left on jars for 3 hours after PC

Hi guys, I am trying the BRF PF Tek method for my first time and may have run into a couple of problems that I hadn't anticipated.. I've spent the last couple of hours trying to find answers but to no avail. Hopefully you can help
I couldn't sand/file down the burrs from nailing the holes in the lids so I used two layers of 3M micropore tape on the holes with sharp edges. I covered each jar with two pieces of aluminum foil, pressure cooked them and let them cool down inside the PC. I was going to leave them to cool overnight but I opened the PC, saw the condensation inside and started looking online to find out exactly what to do while cooling the jars.
I read that I don't want to get moisture in the top dry layer of vermiculite so I removed the two pieces of tin foil off of the jars. Is this correct? And is it bad that they stayed on the jars for 3 hours after pressure cooking/sterilizing?
Also, upon removing the foil I saw that the micropore tape melted off in some places. Could this mean that some of it melted into the verm? I attached a picture so you can see.. (I'm planning on getting an electric drill to make better holes). Right now they're in a large tupperware container that I cleaned with Lysol beforehand. Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated =)

Micropore tape won't melt in the PC. That looks like transpore tape.

Inoculate them and see what happens!
You might be over thinking it a bit, from what you have said you don't seem to of done anything critically wrong.

Shouldn't be a problem if you have the verm barrier though, just make sure to inoculate them straight away so the verm barrier doesn't have time to get dirty and full of mold spores. If that happens before inoculation, you might end up pushing those mold spores with your syringe, all the way through the verm barrier and contaminate your jars.
