I don't approach trips in a shamanistic way either. Meditation is not my thing. I just wanna see shit melt, or cause my brain to.

I just thought to get a really good pinset and bulk grow, working with a good isolate is a really good way to do it.  I am not set in my ways though, and I am very accepting of the fact that I am wrong a lot lol. I won't just ignore it if somebody tells me I'm doing something wrong like a lot of newbies here on these forums I've noticed.  But to clarify, the original Texas O Cap grow was from MS. Maybe we just had a misunderstanding, sorry if I worded my last post poorly.

An Isolate has it's benefits. If you're trying to do some sort of side by side scientific experiment, an isolate would be appropriate. You can reasonably expect quite consistent results from many clones that aren't isolates, but you are guaranteed consistent results (from a genetic standpoint) from an isolate.

Personally, I don't have any need to make a pure isolate myself. Your culture looks very rhizomorphic. That mycelium is gorgeous! Give it a go

Well, I actually support the idea of meditation. Not in some hippy way, but meditation has been shown to have all sorts of benefits! In this modern era of fast paced everything, clickbait, phone notification bullshit, I feel like my mind is always racing around to the point I can't focus on important things sometimes. Meditation helps me take a break, clear my mind, and regroup! Highly recommended

I'm not into the 'shamanistic' approach, and I am very much an 'unbeliever', but if I had the opportunity to partake in a legitimate shamanic ritual, I'd be down! They have ways of enhancing the experience, from what I understand.

Besides, every now and then I get real religious mid-trip, lmao!!!

By the way, I'm not disparaging anyone who feels differently about spirituality, and all of that. Just expressing my own feelings on the subject.

My final PF cake. Too bad it only grew one mushroom.

Dunno why it's getting soggy. Been left alone the past few days and it just went blue today. I was hoping it would be a tall proud and picture perfect one. Two days ago the cap hadn't opened and was already taller than a lighter. It started to go blue 6 hours ago. Eating it in a few with some ovoid tea.

Ok... so I posted the nice tub this morning... but I have another picture of the day... It's a twofer!

Just thought you fellas might appreciate what a special day I am having!

The tub this morning only came out to 3.5 oz, and I'm expecting the same from these two.

The ones around the side, yes. The rest are still darker than anything I've been growing lately.

Hmm, I guess the centers are pretty dark. I'm not thrilled to pick 10 thousand of these little fuckers! lol... I got the fiskars out. I really need to find a more efficient way to pick these. I think I get too OCD about getting all of the dirt off of them.

This herecium erinaceus culture was traded to me a year ago and until 4 or so weeks
ago the wedge sat in a centrifuge tube in my fridge. I put it to agar and
the growth appeared weak but i transfered it to grains anyway. The growth
on grains was slow and i'm moving so i just stashed the jar away with my
other grow supplies. I randomely discovered it today fully colonized but
still wispy and it's fruiting!

Grain is whole oats

Sorry for the crap quality pics.

Hericium is like that.
thin and whispy, then all of a sudden it's full and fruiting. At least what I've seen on grain. Lemme get a pic of my current (first) hericium grow.

edit: oh wait I can't b/c I've uploaded too much
I'll put one up though. when i can.
