Closet Grow

Hey guys, I just wanted to show off my closet set up. I struggled finding successful closet grows or grows in small areas to mimic so I tried by best. The biggest obstacle I've faced is obviously FAE. I Just wanted to see what you guys thought since I can't really show anyone else. Constructive criticism welcomed!

I Can fit exactly 4 66qt monotubs in this set up.

You can see the two computer fans on the bottom. These are constantly on.

Here you can see my rat nest of wires. I have a timer running my two lights. Then I have a timer running the big fan on top. This fan is set to come on twenty times a day for a 10 minute duration.
Nothing fancy but I've managed to dial in my tubs with this. I'm still new to this so I'm sure I will improve on it later.

Nice! I would keep the bottom fans pointed away from the tubs or you'll dry out the surface too quickly. Other than that, everything is lookin good

Thanks! I will face the computer fans away from the tub. The idea behind those little fans is just to keep air circulating. What about the big fan? Its only on for 200 minutes a day total. Should I just keep it pointed upwards towards the roof?

you can give your subs windburn quite easily by running fans. It's seldom recommended, in fact. Even a ceiling fan on low can do some damage (as it did to my APE recently )

Are you planning on leaving the closet door open or closed? If open I doubt you need any fans lol

The fans were added because I was getting air born mycelium. My shrooms also had crazy legs, or fuzzy mycelium reaching 1"-2" long up the stalk.
I usually try to leave the closet closed but it gets left open from time to time.

Let me see these legs and floating mycellium you speak of.

Couldn't you loosen the poly more to fix it instead of having that many fans and timers?

I would keep all fans pointed away from the tubs. In fact, I think you really only need one fan. You don't want to hinder progress by constantly drying out the substrate.

I don't have pictures. I'm not sure why you would think I made that up. There are hundreds of pictures already floating around of what i am talking about.

Yeah I tried loosening it up. I think the biggest problem was the stale air wasn't circulating.

I thought about only the one fan but I had the computer fans laying around. They don't push that much air. I thought it might help just having some air moving around the closet. Maybe I'll tried my next grow without the computer fans and see how the results vary.

Did you make the bottom holes medium instead of tight, and take the top holes out completely? Honestly I do that 90% of my grows, and I don't even grow in a closet. HIGH FAE FTW. FUCK HUMIDITY, ITS OVERRATED BROTHER.
