First time picking this year after experiencing libs for the first time last year, (age 26) with my uncle and what an experience it was!!! First time I've posted but found all the info on here very useful... after weeks of searching from mid-September onwards, they finally started to show up a few weeks ago! I'm pretty confident I can I.d libs after endless hours of research but here's a few pics just to be sure... Hopefully somebody can verify for me Thanks in advance

Hi would really appreciate if someone could ID these please before I pick any more? Found them growing on a dead tree stump so wary that they may not be liberty caps. The gills have turned to black now while drying but I havnt noticed any blue or purple tint.
Thanks in advance for reply.

Thanks very much for the guidance lads. I think you're definitely right after looking that species up. I have often seen liberty caps whilst hiking growing on grassy mountains but I figure I'd take them home to at least try a spore print. The hunt will continue.

I just saw a gritter salting the road in Glasgow. must be a cold forecast. get up the hill and grab em before the ground is frozen. Mountain Weather information service says freezing at 750m in the west highlands

2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 26, 29 are all libs. The rest are not. Take a close look at what makes them different from the rest of your collection. You almost have it.
