Hey shroom people! Great pics of liberty caps! The weather still feels mild in Lincolnshire compared to previous years but the libs are out in great numbers!

Hey shroomies, Ive been a bit distant lately but still picking here, though had to have a wee break due to sciatica getting ridiculous.
Need to catch up on the thread
Here is today's haul :

I've also taken a quite a few spore prints so I'll message folks who were looking for some as soon as I can
-------------------- How I consume - Dry extract in capsules - guide with photos ! ** p. Semilanceata spore prints ** If you're waiting on a PM reply don't worry I have taken a number of prints and should have these ready this week for trades/post, if you're interested in a print PM me and I'll work through them in order I can offer prints of the early fruiting spot that seems to start in July through to mid Oct and prints from specimens in my regular spots that tend to fruit later during the regular fungi season in the UK.

Hi Everyone, / New member here and first time picker. I have spent some time researching where and when and what they look like but for extra reassurance I wondered if anyone was able to confirm what these are and if they are edible? these ones we are not sure on?

these we believe are ok.
 close ups

thanks!!
realised probably not enough to give proper ID so I have taken a few more pics of the gills.. they look darker now as they have been drying out for 6hrs plus now. When picking them the gills looked purplish in colour. these pics after 6hrs of drying...
from one we are not sure about: and the others:

drying...

I'm trying to take a spore print off one of the caps not sure if this will work now they are drying out???

That's a good haul man. Those fields are teeming compared to where we have been lately.
Cheers. Those fields are within easy hiking distance from where you've been lately. I see from your recent post that you went further a field.. Nice, delighted for you The pics aren't very clear but they look ok from a distance, can see bruising too. Check for the pellicle on the caps and do a spore print on the ones you're unsure of, wait on a TI or a member more knowledgeable than me to confirm.
I found that spot only last year, been living here years and it's been right under my nose the whole time! Found a couple of malnourished libs in a forest and investigated from there. Was an experience I'll never forget. It hadn't been itself the last week or so though, like what you and shroomymooney have described, maybe the couple of ground frosts we had was the culprit. Enjoy the haul!
Shroomymooney were you out today? I haven't been over your way in ages, never been picking either, can't believe you have to go downhill to find the little elusive feckers! I know someone who found a heap at sea level near the coast, they're all over the place. Don't know about your neck of the woods but over here they're waiting for ya.

Thinking of going out again tomorrow, my constant and unexplainable inability to trip has been slightly disheartening but I intend to dose more heavily again in the coming week once the tolerance has died down. If I actually manage it next time then I'll continue to do it weekly; which will mean I might as well stock up whilst the limited season is still running. Temps have been high and no rain for the past 3 days but last night we finally had some relatively decent rainfall along with fog and temps below 10c.

I was shown to this spot and basically introduced to the hunts by a great guy that picked only Cyans whose contact I lost. I have a lot of gratitude for what he showed me and I take good care of the spot, always trying to keep the mycelium intact, spreading spores and overall respect the mushrooms and keep the system healthy.
About the habitat all I can say is city parks with decomposed wooden chips and of course some moisture, maybe helped by scattered low plants.

I'm sure he can sense your gratitude from afar, left in great hands too! I've been looking in vain in areas used for the forestry industry. Gonna hunt some parks in Dublin before time runs out. I'd kill for some in bloom British cyans porn... Does it inspire you to want to cultivate?
The yeilds today have been great viewing. Blazey that's a fine few golden gs you got there :-)

Thanks for replying. How come they were called psilocybe? Did they used to be active. What's the story.
