I got my first decent haul today, I ended up in the Mendips, surreal experience picking mushrooms in the shadow of a barrow.
I stopped to wonder whether the Saxons buried there picked the ancestors of the mushrooms in my bag.

Obligatory picture of mushrooms on a bit of kitchen roll:

Not an incredible haul, but I was only out there a couple of hours, and enough to experiment for now.
Perhaps in a week or two I shall go back.

Found a small bunch today, but plenty of small ones still coming through that I've left, so for anyone else in the south west, if you've not had any luck, don't give up - they might not be showing themselves still!

Anyway, as this is only my second harvest, I was hoping some kind soul could confirm that the 30 odd on pages A & B are all libs... I'm 99% sure that all are.

The 4 separate ones all are lacking such a distinct nipple and, while I still think they're libs, it would be great to get an expert opinion.

Thanks in advance

this season is no where near over btw its only just kicked off fully, i've picked in the snow before aswel, you need constant frosts, it's normal to get a bit of frost in autumn, you will be picking till early december maybe even into january, it was boiling today again.

I give you the choice of 2 pills.

With each containing one of the following:
Cyanide... Psilocin... Would you take the risk?
Didn't think so.

Hey Guys, long time lurker, first time poster!

Out walking on a moor in the South West today and came across a few small patches of what I hope are libs. It's been dry the last few days so these guys are all a bit small and tired/dried out, but would I be right in thinking they are the genuine article?

And thank you for all the information guys, this thread is always an entertaining read.
