1-12 all libs, last 3 are too immature for my rookie skills to positively ID. Spore print will tell you all you need to know, you want purplish-black.
2nd photo all libs.

Does anyone know any good spots to hunt for libs in the south east or in Herts?
I was thinking wendover/whipsnade area might be good has anyone found anything there?
Also has anyone had luck in the south east at all this year?

Tbh ive never bothered with that just looked for fields with plenty of thistles. This field is a sheep field near a river. Its also a flood plain. The thistle patches are huge and im finding them right in amongst them. Been peaks a few times done me nothing so think il be sticking to this little goldmine

Sheep pastures at a high elevation would be ideal, I read somewhere that sedge grass is a good indicator too? I've had no luck whatsoever this season, too dry down here.
Think high, think wet, think sheep!

So do you reckon thistle is a good indicator? I've been checking a north facing sheep pasture for the past few weeks, came back empty handed every time. Need to get up on to Dartmoor really but transport for me is an issue.

Are you absolutely sure they're libs? Pictures would be helpful
I will get on laptop and upload photos tomorrow or Friday. Do you think location of where they're are picked can make a difference? I've also found in the past that once I have taken a dose in a night I can never get back to that place in the same night. Should I massively up the dosage?

Well everytime i have found them there has always been plenty of thistles and sedge grass quite often pampras grass. Usually travel up to peaks they are everywhere up there usually but no luck this year. You would be suprised how close they are to you. This is a new field i was quite suprised at the amount in here picked 3 times that amount pictured easy it probs only as big as 3-4 footy pitchs. Il get a photo next time i go back leaving them for a week to regrow.

Be careful 'Kamikaze Dosing', you *will* meet the Devil and he *will* rip out your kneecaps with a crab fork. I honestly have no idea why they aren't affecting you, only reason I can think of is fungicides used in the field you're picking, but again I'm skeptical.

I'll be out at dawn to catch the morning dew, there's a good field with 'boggy' grasses in it right next to my usual haunt but it's currently inhabited by sheep. A great sign, you may be thinking. It probably is. But I have a phobia of sheep, the only reason I've been checking the pasture I've been checking is it's very recently been vacated by what I suspect is the flock in the field next to it.

Honestly they will be local to you! Ive been going in the evening they easier to spot when the sun has hit them a bit. This field has had sheep in as long as i know tbh and with it being next to a river it gets a lot of mist in mornings ideal! Will get photo as soon as i can

Upload the photos to your personal gallery, then copy and paste the BBCode in to your post. There's a comprehensive guide on this thread somewhere if you can find it. Maybe on page 60-70 somewhere.

I live right down at sea level though, in Dartmoor's rain shadow. Pretty much bone dry here except for the morning dew.
"Look and ye shall find" has been my motto now for a good month, I will succeed just gotta persevere!

Right, it's bedtime and an early start for me now. Gonna go check out that boggy sheep pasture (with a long stick) and local woodchip beds. For those that don't know, another relatively common psilocybe that grows in the UK is Psilocybe Cyanescens. Look for it in woodchip landscaping like that used for horticulture. It's in season now, research it!
