larvae from the fungus gnat.... the fungus gnat , assigns itself as a spore spreader, so they helpful, and no  larvae alone can eat a whole mushroom, its slugs that will chomp into them and give u something to worry about over these little white potential spore spreaders...

maggots are from flies. those shit eaters or decomposing agents

eddie - sterile mushroom just mean no spores, they still active..

do I know everything? no I don't, just what I'm interested in

Thanks folks for ID support. Will make mushroom smoothie and inoculate my grass with it with the ones that make me uneasy.
Probabaly just eat the ones that have the distinctive hat, dark gills, bluing at the foot and the slightly elastic quality to the dry flesh.

Off up the hill while the sun is shining.

Ps.I've eaten many psychoactive maggots! Must eat loads eating while picking! Was thinking about doing a GI parasite cleanse this winter. Eaten meat in Asia this year too. Can't do any harm to have a clean tum for the dark months.

My 1st post hows everyone doing.

I'm in NW Ireland, and the season is 100% late.  The usual spots where you'd clear 1000's are only starting to produce.  Shrooms were growing here until dec last year, even with ground frost.

I've manaaged to clear acouple hundred so far but nothing special.  Its still too warm.  I find them a lot in gardens of houses that have just been built, gardens that the grass gets cut all year round, aswell as fields with sheep and cows.  Here's a few pics so far, happy hunting

nice photos's coming along nicely ..

lets make maaaagggicicicicicicicicic

man dear - not bad cheers, nice pics, nice post, yeh same , was picking them, well , I was snapping them at the stalks ice cold couple years bak, its usually several frosts in a row that stop them in their tracks, I was out 2 yr back 28 th December odd , thought id have a look , and got around 80 odd on a known spot of mine, was an intense experience as well... so yes goes to show, they hardly lil survivors on a mission and one light frost doesn't necessarily mean the end of season.  several hard will. then again even storms can impact them, the temps start acting weird etc, makes them stop at times

remember all those storms last year? barny, desmond etc.

first day I put my trousers on since may instead of shorts.... I was wrong in doing that coz, out walking the dog I was sweating my face off... 19C here east Anglia , could do with lowering abit for sure, tomoz expected 23c , summer just wont let down, despite leaves falling

I've got to admit, fine people y'all. Been searching two months now, wondering all sorts of strange sh1t like....have the govt persuaded the farmers to spry fungicide?/? You know. But the weather here in NE Lancs is getting, well, like weather for NE Lancs this time of year......sh1tty :mushroom2::crazy2:

Might go wild camping this weekend. Does anyone have any ideas on whether there's a best time of day to go hunting? Early morning? Late evening? Doesn't matter? I've been going out mid afternoons only up till now, thought a change might be in order. What do ya think wiser people?

Thanx.

Found these little guys on a walk today, more of the same in area. Are these lib caps? I've had a read up about them and all seems to add up to a yes.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Hello all.

New here, but long time psychonaut. Been out for first time In years on the hunt. Started at my old faithful site I've known since '88/'89 in Dorset on Sunday but nothing found. Tried today near where I live in Wiltshire and again, nothing found. It's still too warm, the Wiltshire site was close to a field full of red admirals - don't remember ever seeing butterflies during lib season.

Weather has dipped a bit and been wetter since Sunday, so hoping next week or following will prove fruitful. Basically, I think it's too warm down south. Going to try Brecons/Black Mountains tomorrow, as I've not been for a walk those fun guys for about 8 years, and need to open up the old third eye again. Or summat
