Hey everyone! I know i probably wouldn't get an answer, but i thought there is no harm in asking. Is there anyone from Canterbury area who can walk me through some liberty caps hunting basics and perhaps suggest where i can find them in that general area?

Went to the spot for cyans today. Looked for over an hour, and found 3 very small inconspicuous patches, with both new cyans and healthy mature cyans. No cyans in obvious places.
This leads me to one conclusion: the spot is compromised, RUN BITCHES Jk, but I think someone's on it, prob the guy that showed me the spot in the first place. Fuck it was expecting the kilo left with less than 30 g, TRAGEDY. And now everything is gonna die and I ain't goin back

What is the monetary value of dried liberty caps by weight? I'm not planning to sell, it'd just be interesting to know how much my stash would have cost.

Add up the hours you spent hunting, picking and drying them. Set an ample hourly wage (landscape gardener or similar).
Don't forget to put transport costs on top.

Bart. Im sure libs will be growing in their habitat (grazing fields) round the area. Just need to spend some time looking around. Theres alot of us in the north west and theres plenty around here. You just have to know where to look. I have not been finding a lot lately but if you are persistent, the effort usually pays off. Good luck m8

- lastnights haul..
yes, me Saturday night fuzzy... horsy lady and pals came out with their torches bout 1am in the morning, to do their nightly check around the place, when it came to me hiding , I was inside a place that was trip wired lol, which sends a text to her phone, - so she says, that's how che know I was hiding in a barn full of hay bails, traktors and donkeys the other end.. I hid myself but forgetting to hide my bag , we spooked eachother, she told me to leave, we chat on the way out about the mushroom itself and why I am here etc. she was cool about it , but just worried for the insurance costs if anything happened... - not that I use fields where horses are in anyways.
got caught few weeks back in the day on a patch, these ones were fine with me being on the field, as they say I do their horses a favor lol
but thing to do is be upfront and honest with what you are doing, there'd rather know your foraging for autumn fruit than they would a thief in the night or some poacher scout in the day... thed never call police as its in the middle of no where, so be upfront,as u were.. nothing to hide, as innocent as picking berries if u ask me m8
my brother got caught with his gal other day on an estate, his loooorrrddship lol said , carry on .. and actually seemed happy two people out in nature doing something peaceful as appose to being in a bar , noisy bar kicking up a steam over a footy match.. u get me drift
Got to hand it to you, you smashed it ! The motherload, but clearly you put the time in and efforts pay off. Well done mate.
Today I went to a spot and unfortunately it was barren.A few mycena the beige and grey ones brittle and quite literally that was it. This area has had really bad conditions and unfortunately it seems to have hit the liberty cap hauls very badly.
I suppose that is how this field, pardon the pun, of activity goes. Each year is rather different. I think I am done for this year.

'each year is different' - that's true , why I be sure that in the first part of the season while there is still light , il look for new patches...
il never be on a field with the animals on.. but always when they rotate off of it.. when they allow the grass to grow is where il be.. they don't fruit as much when horses/sheep are on fields. - at least what ive come to notice.
yeh each year is diff, a patch that was abundant last year , this year it is not,due to the fact the horses trimed it right down, but the rotation has made another patch abundant next to it where the grass has had a chance to grow.. they wont bother popping up in may amounts if they sense many horse eating away like mental patients ..
