How much earlier psy? There seems to be mold growing in this jar.
Did you take them straight from the dehydrator and seal them into a cold glass jar while they were still warm?

Hello, first time picker. Bit of a conundrum, first bit of advice said none were magic's, second bit said they all were. Convinced #21 is, suspicious of the rest.
Could someone help me out? UK, Picked an hour ago, rained yesterday, perfect south facing slope in sheep grazed field. Picked from about 8 different patches.

Can provide better pictures if needed, never found any before in my life so until I nail atleast 1 I'm still in the dark lol

duicy , I took your advice last year me o son - didn't forget :-) , I leave em to air/cool off as u said - not only that I keep the temps real low on that machine, waitin the extra hour is nothing when if I didn't have it id be waiting the 2days, so that extra hour is nothing really , there's no mold bredda - earlier as in not the same batch you see in the dehydrators , put that up with the jar to show texture of the caps that machine gives with no loss of shape, quality and size.. yaz taught me a few things last year which was grateful for, only thing I had forgot was the fly agaric recipe..
- I also remember what you said about the clay type grounds needing more rain than the usual types -that would explain why I don't see anything on the marsh with cattle - not unless it gets a lot of rain, which it rarely does!, 'soil' is thick with clay, so takes longer for mycelium to activate as needs more water than other soil types - took that on board and was kicking myself 4 forgetting.... your advice has been kept under my belt pal.... cheers for the heads up tho !!!
tanzel - I had responded ^.... no libs but getting warmer in terms of habitat so keep looking, but Christ its cold eh .. arctic air doing its thing
ckelly - you mean number 20? cant see that very well tho...

Hi guys, could someone possibly confirm we've found the right thing? Found in the north of Lancashire in a lovely empty sheep field.

Yo guys it's the 5th November getting cold now, but I've finally found a field 350ft up which has a few fruits I'm gonna have to fund a way to the Peak District or somewhere real soon to stock up.. These are my second finds but I just need confirmation on some of the bigger ones at the top (some similar ones I threw away because they seemed way too big ) the rest I'm confident of

Also spotted this beauty but I didn't have another container for it

All I see in that jar is gold!
Glad to see y'all still reaping in the yields. My patches are drying up, not sure whether it's the chill or lack of moisture, both perhaps. Watching the weather drives me nuts, all those weather systems passing by our islands, October through to November, ya couldn't write it!
Drove past my spot during the week through thick, low-lying cloud. Got a little wet at the thought, went up couple days later and picked less than twenty. The ones I found were golden capped with the most thick and rooted of stems, so sturdy maybe they were the only survivors, I'm perplexed. Anyhow not over yet I see..
