Yeah it's fly agaric. I haven't seen any of those yet where I am, or liberty caps. I usually find at least 100 or more liberty caps each year but this year not a sausage lol. Luckily I decided to buy some spore syringes this year and other bits, but nature is probably punishing me by not giving me any liberty caps lol. Iv'e seen plenty of field mushrooms, a few parasol mushrooms and a few other types of mushrooms that I don't know the names of, just none of the magic kind.
Apparently there was a frost here last night so my chances of finding any liberty caps this year are getting extremely slim. Oh well, I still have some stored .
I love the look of fly agarics when they are dried. Such a beautiful velvety red texture. I still have a fair few dried fly agaric about somewhere if they haven't decomposed (I didn't store them air tight). I don't know if I'll bother taking those, but I love having a few stored if only just to admire their beauty.

If you took a spore print or made a liquid spore solution with liberty caps would it be possible to cultivate them via pf tek? I imagine this has probably been attempted or at least asked previously.

Sorry, I don't think any of those are libs, wrong colour of gills, head and stem, look at some pictures of lib caps and observe the gradients and the particular slimy texture that libs have on their cap (not so much on the stem)
When dryer (but not driest) they will look like this

But when they dry a lot further they go a dark brown colour.
some more pics to help you:

No the lib species requires the specific relationship with the roots of grasses.

You have several species there, none of them being Psilocybe semilanceata. I see Mycena, Psathyrella, and Panaeolus in your pile. Study up on your identifying details before your next hunt, grabbing every single small brown mushroom you find is not very productive.
Keep looking, you will find them!

One of the blue Stropharia species. Compare with S. caerulea perhaps.

Anybody has experience picking libs right after a frost?? I were finding some LBMs really similar to libs but wasnt sure so I didnt pick em. Couldnt take any pics. Just thought of asking if they change texture after frost? Are they still recogniseable??
