I yield well ove 250 grams in a season - and so can anyone if they pull their finger out from arse :-)which I encourage people do,i spend one whole season looking for spots, now its a matter of doing the rounds in one day/night over the coarse of that season , to be content , but a lil jealous of the giant titty he has in that tub wont lie lol

Lot of people picking today when i went on my 5k. I am considering moving spots now, ain't even posted on here so probably clueless n gonna ruin the entire network by not allowing the spores to drop, lot of people here just wanna get high and don't respect it enough and if you don't respect this organism it doesn't respect you and will stop flushing for years.

Deffo gonna switch out my spots now, if they actually engaged and asked for advice or something i wouldn't mind helping, it's not like it's not blatant the type of bloke i am with a cap on and that lmao plus it would maintain it for everyone, but people just pick the lot, i seen a guy with a bag full of pins the other year.

That spot ain't fruited any mushrooms since. :youthemandawg:

what he said ^ when I pick I have 3 in my mouth stalk end, so that when the wind catch, the spores can release all over the show, I do that the entire pick and for every 3 I see grouped I leave one

- what she said huh.. lol

tell no one of locations you personally find. and quite right we are dealing with more than just a super intelligent organism

Must be the population density down in England because up here I never see anybody. As in...not just folk picking mushrooms...I don't see anybody full stop.

hes near you 2bh , I think, pretty sure Blaze is North above midlands, man-u way , I mean the thread starter had found late july , so I'm guessing Scotland :-), its you that stealing them all ahaha , only jokin

edit , no NW sorry, there was Scottish findings early mid july from Repton soz..

no wait, no fuck it , I'm now confused to where any of you fuckers are , good tho right.. lol

what I will be doing tho, spend 2seasons on 4 found locations, then next season you go looking for more locations, google earth is my friend here, then next season , you combine the first 4 locations whith any of the new found locations and keep going like that , until it takes atleast a week to do one round!! my plan anyways, Roro8 you up for that ? me and you , lil romantic adventure ? :acidcat:

thought as much as its why seasons starts early for north, finishes novmid-early dec, where has south east south england, west, and midlands can finish midnov all the way to early jan sometimes but start a month later than north.. if that made sense , so the season is equal in theory for entire country ,just different starting and finishing times .. - that ofcourse all depending on temps and rainfall as the season develops , but by average it gets spread equally through out the uk.

ty for that link

I use google earth for the same purpose, it seems a lot more user friendly with a lot of added features.

If you tick the 'terrain' box, the altitude is displayed at the bottom in 'real time' as you mouse over the area your searching, and you can zoom in close enough to see the track lines where fields have been ploughed recently, so I know where to avoid.
I'm not sure how well this would work if your out in the field using a smart phone though.

Well who would have thought that hunting in 28c heat wouldn't be too fruitful!

What a nightmare, I can't remember what they're called but those mushrooms that look similar to libs from a distance that are *everywhere* just now...they're slimey when they're new to the point they can be difficult to pull up and they are usually a lot more white or white/yellow than Libs but often have a slight nipple and until you look at it closely they could be libs - well...in the heat those things dry out and look incredibly similar to Liberty Caps. Total nightmare trying to sort them out

bring on the rain

That's libs and concybe look like libs but no nipped... dude this is great proof that it's the sun spectrum making them grow nothing to do with 10/15 bs they have you believe it's just the red spectrum we get from the sun this time of year... rain is coming next week I bet I get my first finds then... Can't wait till I have a few thousand again

Not conocybe's mate, something else. Caps are quite flat and yellowy/white and the stem is usually slimy and slippery and fairly straight.

I think rainfall is the critical part followed by temperature. If there has been no rain for a few days (as there is now) then their numbers drop by about 90% as you can see. I reckon with lots of rainfall and temps that are low but still higher than 10c you will find lots. But without that rain you're stuck
