Ok so i went out today in the forest to hunt for shrooms even though it didnt rain in the past days. I found 4 kind of shrooms but they were all dried out due to the dry sunny days. I know that none of those are actives but by identifying them i can know their growing conditions and compare them with the actives i will be searching for. Its a big forest with a lot of moss and dead wood and full of dead leaves on the ground. I will be hunting for any psilocybin containing mushroom found in forests but especially Gymnopilus sp. Because it grows in this time of the year (summer).

The black one i found a lot of them they were growing alone but all in the same place. They were rock hard (completely dried) and are all jet black everywhere. I found a lot that looked like the pink/red cap one, some had pink on the base of the stem. The 3rd one from the left had a spongy stem but not empty and the last one from the left had a kind of hard and strong stem. I just want to know what kind of psilocybin containing shroom grows where these grow. Thanks

The two on the right are russulae; the big one is a ganoderma; the one on the left is too old to ID.

Will i be able to find any gymnopilus or any psilocybin containing shroom if i found those kind of shrooms? It will rain in 2 days and i want to get most out of it because its the only rain i will get this summer and if i cant find gyms i wont search in forests. Also do saprobic mushrooms (espacially gymnopilus) take more time to grow than other shrooms ? I think i will go search for pans the morning after rain and gyms the day after Thanks for help

Maybe, yes. But if they're not ready yet, at least you'll have had a nice walk.
