Wet spot
    #23426510 - 07/09/16 12:51 PM (7 years, 6 months ago)

Hi,

What is "wet spot"? Some or all jars have wet looking spots adjacent to noc ports, so its not likely to be an over-squirt.

What does one do with jars containing wet spots?

Also, what does one do with stalled jars?

Wet spot (bacillus) starts out clear and becomes a light brown sludge over time.
It also admits a foul odor...

Stalled jars can be attributed to pent up co2....shaking the grain expels a lot of it so the mycelium recovers faster....
It could also be bacteria...seeing as the  others have Wet spot....if they're from the same cycle it wouldn't surprise me....

Shake them all and smell, you should be able to notice if you sniff at the filter....anything other then the smell of fresh mushrooms and they're chances of recovery are very unlikely and even then they would only be able to invitro fruit from the jar....bulk fails 100% of the time when bacteria is interduces by grain spawn at the start.

I think he may be doing brf jars, since he said something about the noc ports. Unless he did spore straight to grain.

If it is brf jars, then do not shake them.

Its brf. Theres also a yellowish something or other in two jars...Im thinking the whole grow is toast.

Is there any potential at all for stalled/wet spot/mold/etc jars? Try to grow them outside or something? Isolate the good myc?

If its the garbage can or the yard...

Should I just dump the whole jar into soil or cut out the good looking myc?

Middle pic, middle row the whole side is "wet" looking. I tried to get some of the color contrast in the others.

Collapsing...good word. I thought some looked like they were shrinking inward away from the glass.

Would it be better to cut the myc out asap or to let the myc grab as much as it can before my hail mary shot at outdoor soil?

Is putting it outside the only move?

Those look pretty wet. What tek did you follow? Pretty much everyone of them is shitty. The last one you could maybe do some surgery.. yeah even the last one is shitty.. The rest should be buried in a garden.
