Absorbing the Sun.

Okay so I've had this idea for a while now. Sounds impossible but hear me out.
The biggest and closest source of energy is the Sun, DUH. The Sun is holding us together and bending space by it's sheer mass alone. If you were to absorb the Sun someway, I won't get into that, you'd be shrinking space and time. I just assume you shrink time too since they would have to go together.
Anyways, we just absorbed the Sun, shrunk space, and now we have all this ENERGY from the Sun. The life left on our Sun is something like 6 billion years? That's gotta be a lot if you can even think that BIG.
Now that got me to think of some way to map the "mass" between stars. Everybody sees it in terms of LIGHT YEARS, but that's way too linear. Light itself doesn't even travel in a straight line. See where this is going? Fucking space travel dude. It does not seem too far fetched, and I came to this idea sober as a judge, well maybe I was smoking weed but that don't count.
What do you guys think? Principle of me: Mass+Energy of the Sun is equal to some form of light years.
Now I know this is so far beyond our capabilities right now, but I like that it opens puts safety and knowledge of the beyond ahead of making the technology to absorb the Sun. We couldn't absorb it over time. It would have to be an all for one type of go, and already knew where we were going. I was also thinking of making the Earth into a spaceship to solve the problem of leaving people behind, but moving that type of mass probably complicates things. Perhaps closer to the end of it's life we could still do this and receive similar results.

Your thinking is just dimensionally incorrect.
kilograms + joules can never equate to metres

Well. IF the Sun were no longer around. The space around it would shrink. Yes?
The Sun is pure energy. That amount of energy and mass has to equate to something beyond E=mc^2. You want to prove General Relativity? I think crazy theories like this are the starting to point, and the end point is the black hole we create to leave this dimension.
In short, I believe that amount of mass+energy, harnessed properly, can create black holes.

Nothing more to say - my degree is in Engineering - not total BS.

You can theoretically create black holes with any amount of matter or energy, what is your proposed application for doing so?
Maybe you can also elaborate on how you are coming to the conclusion that the removal of the sun wiIl shrink the local spacetime. Please remember that youre idea is foreign to everyone but you, and may require a detailed and well thought out explanation in order to reduce confusion. It would also help to include drawings of what you envision.
Once we have a clearer picture of what you mean, we can more effectively comment on what can or cannot be possible based on empirical evidence and logical arguments.
Be ready to really think through the logic of your argument, and be open to criticism and suggestions. It will help you either hone your idea into something more developed, or will logically exclude the idea from the realm of possibility, ultimately leaving you with a better understanding of the universe regardless of the outcome.
I look forward to seeing this thread develop.
