He-man and the Masters of the Universe 80s cartoon.

So I just pirated the complete series of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe because nostalgia. I used to watch it all the time when I was a kid, but I literally don't remember anything about it (I was only like 3-4 when I was really big into it).
So I just watched my first full he-man episode as an adult and this shit is hilarious as fuck, and super 80s and nostalgic. It explains the entire premise of the show at the start of each episode, and constantly reiterates what's going on in the show as its happening. It has the same hilarious stock animation in each episode. The show avoids fighting at every possible opportunity and makes such a huge deal about how you should always avoid fights and has constant moral messages. They even end each episode explaining the moral of the episode

I seriously want to watch this while tripping. It's so pointlessly positive and non-violent and the "plots" are so bad and and so simple and just weird and hilarious in general. Everything is so cliche, stereotypical, and straightforward all the time.
Did any of you guys watch this when you were a kid? Have you seen it as an adult? What do you think about it?

I watched it a bit when I was a kid but it wasn't one of my favorites. The shows that I did like back then and have gone back and watched (Thundercats, The Real Ghostbusters) were a lot shittier than I remembered them. I noticed that the guy who created Bablyon 5 was a writer for Ghostbusters.

I used to dig it when I was a wee tyke, too.
My shit though was the original transformers cartoons
I wonder if anyone here remembers the movie that came out in theaters...complete with bad 80's music and all
I fucking loved it so hard. The Optimus Prime/Megatron battle was legendary, mayne.
I think I cried when Optimus died

That's insane considering the show goes out of its way to not include anything even remotely not kid friendly. It makes such a big deal about being super moral and nonviolent. The show is more full of moral messages than any other show I've seen

I haven't seen Ghostbusters since I was really little. Now I kinda want to watch it again but I'm scared

I used to have the soundtrack on vinyl. Kick Axe is the name of one of the bands. In Boogie Nights, Mark Wahlberg records their song "You've Got the Touch."

It was actually a pretty bad ass soundtrack, lol. Back as a kid I loved the music in the film as much as I loved the movie itself
That shit would get me hyped

He-Man is such a GAY cartoon! Its so blatantly obviously GAY its hilarious. Incredible that they aired that.
I loved it as a kid and I loved the moralistic nature of it.
Skeletor is the ultimate villain of all time. If only Evil were like that.
Get the remastered version thats as clear as the 80s cartoon was, the bootlegs are almost unwatchable.

Halfnaked musclemen in 1970s BDSM outfits playwresting each other with teasing innuendo?
You should watch it again with that in mind.
It had a HUGE wink for boys who like me had yet to come out of the closet, intentional or not.

Wasn't it rumored that He-Man had a threesome with She-Ra and Skeletor
