ecig vs regular.

I've been on an ecig for so long now that I can't stand smoking regular cigarettes. I ran out of nicotine liquid recently and had to revert to smoking regular cigarettes and it was absolutely awful. It was so bad in every way: taste, temperature, just the physical experience of the whole thing, the lasting smell, etc. And keep in mind that I smoked regular cigarettes for years.
I'm curious if this has happened to any other cigarette smokers who have switched to ecigs.
Have you completely given up cigarettes for ecigs/are cigarettes virtually unsmokable now? Or is it just me, are you still fine smoking the old fashioned way? What are your thoughts on ecigs vs regular cigarettes?

Repulsive taste.

i got nothing from Ecigs. nicotine by itself didnt do shit for me. used gum and patches before when i couldnt smoke as well, they sucked. still craved a smoke badly
i mainly smoke a pipe now and only smoke cigs when i'm driving. its much more fulfilling.

For all the honest reasons you hate stoges...
I've come to like all that shit.
Never been a pack a day smoker or whatever but I can indulge here and there
Tried the vaping thing when it came out and I can see why people choose it as an alternative however it ain't my thing.
I enjoy smoking because it gives me an excuse to go outside and have a moment to myself
I'd be lying if I told you I don't wash my hands when I can after I smoke but sometimes I just let it ride.
It would suck to become addicted to nicotine but I can still use it when I want it
don't think i'll ever become a pack a day smoker or anything close to that

I recently went to a 3 day music festival. Before I went I considered taking my ecig (been vaping exclusively for over a year), but decided it would be a major hassle & if it was lost/stolen I'd really regret having brought it. So I smoked cigarettes all weekend, and it was fucking disgusting. Not so much so that my repulsion of cigs overcame my need for nicotine, but I was still pretty grossed out. And then when I finally got back home to my ecig, it was doubly pleasureful. I guess after using the vape for so long cigarettes seem nasty, but I was still willing to smoke them for nicotine.

After about a month after I quit smoking and started vaping... I couldn't even stand smoking a cigarette anymore.. not even a quarter of one. Went camping once and my batteries ran out, while they were charging I bummed a smoke off someone (same brand I used to smoke for like 15 years) and it was completely disgusting.. couldn't even finish it.

Pretty much happens to everyone who actually gets a good vape (not a Blu or some shit) and uses it. I can't stand cigarettes anymore. I went back on them for awhile because of stress and was using the vape and cigs but I still had only a pen vape at that point and it just wasn't cutting it. Once I got on a tank and an actual mod I never looked back. If my choices tomorrow were cigarettes or nothing, it'd be nothing. I kinda wanna vomit any time I even think about smoking.

I recently started smoking cigs after a few months of vaping because I need to get some new juice and coils and I'm too lazy to order them. Hasn't been fun. Idk how I used to smoke these things all the time

Yeah, my friends find it amazing I only vape now considering I smoked more cigs then all of them (basically all my friends smoke) and quit the same day I bought the ecig and waited 4 months before trying a cig again, not sure how long now but I've been on an ecig for about a year or year and a half or so and occasionally if I'm drinking or run out of juice and I'm stuck somewhere I'll ask someone for a cig and I can't even make it through a 1/4 of it before putting it out or handing it off to someone else, it almost blows my mind how I was smoking so much for so long because of how bad they are now or how I ever even enjoyed it in the first place.

I feel the same. Its weird because I remember how much I used to enjoy smoking a regular cigarette, but I had to smoke some yesterday and it was easily one of the worst and most disgusting things I've had to do.
I'm almost to the point where it's ecig or nothing. Almost, I'm still addicted after all.

I still enjoy the fuq out of American Spirit cigarettes, I won't deny it
That said I enjoy ripping my vaporizer even more, it costs roughly 10-25 times less and doesn't give me headaches or make me feel unclean like cigarettes do

It's not. It's getting regulated.
Nothing consequential will happen for 2-3 years though.

I went to a festival a few weeks back, and for the same reasons brought cigarettes instead of the vape. Brought an entire carton to split between me and a friend. We smoked the whole thing by the end of it, it was quite the relief to get home and get back to vaping. I noticed I got quite a few headaches in the days following. I read somewhere that other alkaloids in tobacco have withdrawal symptoms aside from just nicotine. I wonder if it was withdrawal symptoms from something in tobacco that is not found in vape juice.
I notice every time I smoke a cigarette when I'm at work, I may have a headache later that night. Best to stick to vaping.
Can't say they taste bad when I go back to them. Not the first one anyway. That one tastes pretty good. It's the following ones that start to get progressively more horrible. It's always been that way for me with cigs though.

There's hundreds of chemicals in cigarettes which are not present in e-juice at all.
Not to mention most major cigarette manufacturers add MAOIs which acts synergistically with the nicotine and other chemicals and increases the addictive factor by like five fold.

Really?
I feel the same way Patrick. Yet i still find myself going back to my cigarettes, even though they get progressively unsatisfying like you said.

That makes a lot of sense as to why it becomes so hard to kick cigs with a vape alone for the first few days for a lot of people, and why people go back to cigarettes over vaping sometimes. This is probably the biggest factor to headaches, several hours after smoking. The MAOI must have stopped working and your body goes into withdrawal.
