Usually occurs on the stem. Known as "fuzzy feet" I can't say I've noticed as much on caps but I gather it happens. It's basically just mycelium growing out from the fruits. Are they from an indoor or outdoor harvest? I think if I remember correctly they are caused by lack of FAE.

Yeah primarily it's on the stem, a couple do have it on the top as well. Indoor harvest, grew them from an all in one grow box. Would they still be okay to eat in your opinion?

No I get it...
You're just looking out for yourself and being responsible
I just really hope it is what we think it is, haha
Wouldn't want a TC to come in and tell us it's some terrible mold...
but I think we're okay on this one.

You and me both haha, I did rub off the fuzzy stuff and they started to bruise, turning a blue color which i'm assuming is a good indication. Sweet, thanks again man and to deadphan appreciate the help, got a little bit worried there for a sec xD

Honestly. Even if mold I don't think would be much an issue. Shit. I love me some stinky cheese. Like blue cheese and stuff. Never got sick. I garden alot and as much as I clean my shit I'm sure I've ate my share of mold in my day. If it concerns you you can Proly just brush it off with some brillo or greenback of sponge or something. I've done as much with portabellas that went too long in the fridge.

can't say that i do haha, but yeah i feel you man. Was just a bit concerned because my friend did a bit of research and said it can cause food poisoning. But he obviously didn't do enough xD appreciate the help man. And yeah I've already brushed it off, it started to bruise and turn a blue color which i'm assuming is a good indication as i said above.

I believe it's between the 11th of August till the 13th. Meant to be peaking on the 12th. Yeah that's not a bad idea! got them on some paper towels in one of my drawers, turning them once every day.

Nice, someone should make a thread somewhere and see if we can all trip for the Perseid meteor shower.
You have any desiccant for it? I heard that's what you need for them to be cracker dry and if they have some moisture they could rot if stored for long periods of time, good luck to you

Yeah that would be awesome if we could get a decent gathering. I do not, didn't even consider that. Yeah made that mistake on the last flush, put them in an air tight jar too early and they started to rot. Thanks man, first time growing so it's a process haha xD

Umm no, you need a dehydrator to dry them properly. Or at the VERY LEAST an oven and a fan(unless the oven has a fan inside). Otherwise you are basically just gonna end up destroying your fruits you worked so hard for. Unless you are going to eat them within a couple days.
If you are trying to store them for any length of time, and they are not CONPLETELY CRACKER FRY, to where when you slightly bend them they immediately snap and Linda burst into dust, then they will rot.

Don't worry man I'm in the same boat
If you have any of those silica bags you get when you buy shoes that say do not eat around you can put them in a sock ( so it doesn't touch the mushrooms ) and the mushroom in an air tight container after you have fan dried them they should be okay.
Oh and if you have more silica you can put the mushrooms over it with a mesh at the bottom and they dry really quick. Like this
| Fan --.-- ~ ~ | ~ ~ ~
----D ----D ----D ######################### .......................... desiccant
Bad drawing but still.
If you don't have desiccant (which I don't) people say you can just use rice as a replacement although not as effective. Or just fan drying might last a good while like 2 weeks or something. I wouldn't advice drying them out in the draw but I'm not an expert hopefully someone from here can give you some better advice .

I don't have any lying about unfortunately, just read somewhere that you can put them in an open box/container and put a fan on them and they should dry within a couple days. So i think i'll try that. but thanks for the advice dude. Good effort on the drawing as well, wasn't too bad haha xD

you need heat + moving air to dry your shrooms enough to store them. just moving air will only get them as dry as the air is, and never completely dry.
get a dehydrator or get used to tossing bags of moldy fruits

Everybody's always so overreactive to everything...

But yeah seriously, dehydrator. If you plan on storing them more than a week, you need heat to get them completely dry. I thought all my mushrooms were pretty weak up until I started drying them properly and getting a proper dose.
