Does anyone gather extra anxiety from cigarettes while tripping?
Well the thing with tripping is it overrides just about anything else you put in your system. Those cigs won't do crap for you, or at least you won't feel usual physical/mental comforts it gives you.
You said you don't want to enter that part of your brain. That's precisely where the anxiety comes from. It doesn't come from smoking the actual cigarette. It's the idea that it's bad for you and you know it bad for you yet you're still doing it after you know IT'S BAD FOR YOU. It's your brain punishing yourself for punishing yourself and not listening to what you know to be the right thing.
It's so stupid but the only answer is to stop smoking. I hate to be so simple about it, but seriously what other options do you think there are?

You're just talking out of your ass on almost every point.
Cigarettes still have a psychoactive effect when you are tripping, and tripping can amplify your perception of these effects.
He is addicted to cigarettes, so his brain doesn't consider them punishment. They activate reward pathways. His brain wants cigarettes. That's how addiction works.
The one thing you got right is that he obviously has some misgivings about his cigarette addiction, and they are manifesting as anxiety.
OP obviously, just quit cigarettes. Smoking cigarettes is fucking stupid.

A shroom session gave me stern insight into my 15 years addiction to amphetamines. I had never known (or ignored subconsciously) what my addiction was doing to my body and relationships until the they gave me insight that night. I can honestly say that trip is whats sparked my road to recovery.
That trip was an incredibly hard trip (what some call a bad trip), I guess the truth hurts. This is the reason I am against using benzo's for "bad trips".
As for cigarettes, I see no difference between substance. I would take the trip to heart and put a plan in place to quit.

Not too argue, but anybody who has smoked Mapacho tobacco while taking Changa would disagree. The plants tend to be harmonious and noticeably work with each other when taken with respect.

No, not anxiety. But crystal clear awareness. Strangely or not, in my trips I experienced total acceptance and peace with dying right now. But there is absolutely no anxiety. This is the mindset when I look at my cigarette. I wonder why death is such a common topic in mushroom trips. Don't get me wrong, these weren't bad trips for me. I just have these strong realizations that it could be over anytime. Whilst feeling great about it.

Quit smoking. I quitted smoking after I started consuming weed (vaporized) due chronic fatiguing pain.

dude tripping shows you the problem you know in the back of your head you need to quit so every time you trip thats gonna be in the back of your head
i went through the same thing but with weed mostly because i was spending a lot of money on it. One time the shrooms made me flush a q down the toilet i might have cried too lmao. fight and try to kick it or try to get on that vape shit might make your trips better because atleast your trying to solve the problem instead of trying to forget about it until the psychs remind you.

Nope, I'm incapable of inhaling a cig while enjoying time on the other side. Almost like my lungs reject what I'm trying to take in. Dabs (cannabis) on the the other hand, oh yea those are a great pair. Anyway, I really get what you're saying about your subconscious , do you feel the cig tastes different too? My brain filters out the good feelings and all I can taste is disappointment .
