I first tried shrooms when i was seventeen, i did them for all that season and they were amazing beautiful trips, i loved them, and things in life did take a positve turn. Wouldn't change it for anything  some of the best months of my life.

I then had a very long break over 10+ years, and now im back ^_^

Shroom trips are worth it, but like anything else i guess its all in moderation.... Too much of a good thing and all that

Only you can decide for yourself the answers to these questions. I can tell you what it's like for me, but these are very personal decisions and personal questions. It would be different for you.

I think that it is beyond worth it. The sheer amount of beauty in a psychedelic experience, the emotions, the incredible magnificence of the experience itself, I find these things priceless. I don't know if I would give them up for anything in the world. We often skip over just how beautiful and incredible the experience is, even if it doesn't "change your life." Going for a hike is beautiful and wonderful, and we don't expect anything more out of it. We need to start looking at psychedelics more like that. But of course, psychedelics do have the ability to change lives if you ask me.

But that's just me. You need to decide for yourself how you feel about it.

Life is such a trip OP, the only thing I got to do for years was trip, all I did was travel and trip and be a Bum, and then the whole psychedelic experience went away, I got a job, got sober, paid my taxes, wore a tie to work....got so normal  I couldn't even imagine I would and could be this way, but hey nothing wrong in it

Tripping comes and goes when it wants to, I thought I had control at least over when I could plan my trips, but no way its got a mind of its own, she comes my way when she wants to

Yeah, you don't take the trip, the trip takes you.

these trips are not in the travel section of your newspaper.
not consumer commodities.
worth it is what a reviewer might say of a restaurant or a hotel or a boat tour.

I say not worth it, not worth it at all. this is a different interest.

:woah:  You say don't trip at all?  Or worth is not the measure of a trip's value, as in "glad I did that"?

I started tripping 10 years ago when I was 13. It has came and went. The last 2 years I have tripped alot, atleast once a month. More so once a week though. I have noticed that I am pretty far out there sometimes.

You'd be amazed at how western civilisation blinds you and crowds your mind with such shit. Shrooms hit the reset button and refresh you like a little baby. It's worth it.

Shrooms are something I believe everyone should take at least once in their life. For the simple reason you gave that it has ways to hit the reset button for things.

Psychs aren't going to change who you are OP. They intensify your strongest/weakest emotions and bring forth aspects of your personality you don't normally use every day. They might give you the foresight and opportunity to right a wrong and take that next big step in your life, but they won't change who you are. Only you can change who you are.

Your 18 and learning what it takes to become a man. Sure you think you know what it means to be a real man. But most young men stay young men until their 30s. They stay as perpetual 18-25 year old guys for a while. You will be in that crown for sure, there are very few who aren't. The question is do you think you'll need help becoming a man? You'd be a fool to say no. Maybe don't think of it in terms like that, but shrooms in particular have given me life lessons I will pass down to my children.

Shrooms for growth. Everything else for fun in moderation. That's my rule... responsibility lololyearight, but seriously don't overdo it.

Psyches are a venue for growing up. Truly, they are.

You might as well ask if breathing is worth it..... Its all pretty subjective. Psychedelics have incredible power to expand your thinking, but many people get too wrapped up in partying. Mixing it with alcohol is always bad IMO. Mixing it with cannabis varies. For me it always must be mixed with cannabis, especially LSD. For others, it makes it too intense. Life just doesn't come in a one-size-fits-all format. There are very few objective truths when you boil it all down, and psychedelics can help you clear your mind enough to see that, if you let them and are ready to handle it emotionally.

This question comes up every time I trip. Sometimes it's just pretty colors and fun, which is okay... I do credit my 1250μg +/- 100μg LSD trip with saving my life. I rarely go that far anymore, the Golden Teacher gives me information as she sees fit for me to handle. It's been four years since that LSD experience and I am still processing and integrating. By-and-large it's worth it.

Well yes it was an irrational pointless question to ask "is it worth it?", and I have come to understand the subject, but maybe my worry is possibly worsening negative emotions that are unfortunately dwelling through me, but I'd like to digress off the question.

Had one single square of hash brownies last night, I did misjudge the potency but heck it was amazing, not a single paranoid thought like I get when smoking, and I got the thought that a break would benefit myself a lot, I've got a lot more life in me then I really think.

Eating hash is always different than smoking, and smoking made me paranoid and led to a full stop a long time ago.  But you will ALWAYS have negative emotions, tripping allows you to work through them effectively.  Look at some of the work in psychedelic therapy that Stanislav Grof did for example.

2 days ago when I ate hash it was rough, roughest it's ever been and actually reminded me of a rough mushrooms trip.
