Unplug.

We are standing still in space. You are a human. You literally have nothing to do right now. Perhaps some task scheduled at the tick of a movement.

Don't push and pull yourself.

Meh. I wish I could. I'm just on the final stages of moving home. Renting a van this weekend to get everything finished, am in a mad rush right now, just taking a break.

Oh how I wish I had nothing to do right now. I'd dose some mescaline and see some friends. Instead I have a list as long as my arm of things that need doing by the end of the day tomorrow.

Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not.

Your mind? Where is that at. Those things are movements that have yet to happen.

Whatever you are doing right now is all that you are doing. You are just in your body. Looking at something.

A joint? A cup of mescaline?

My mind? My mind is currently wishing that I didn't have all this pressure weighing down on my shoulders. Impermanent as it is (5 days from now it'll all be behind me), it's here right now.

Mescaline takes so much preparation! :mad2:  Best drug ever but such a pain in the ass to extract.

Unless you have a man that supplies HCL.

I do agree though. Have done many, many, d-limonene tek extractions. A rewarding end product, but definitely effort.

Definitely the best drug ever though. By a long, long way IMO.

I wish I had a source for hcl. For the no hassle (deskinning is a bitch for me, after which I have cactus bits under my fingernails for weeks) and the easier comedown I'm guessing.

Comedown is no easier IMO. Full alkaoid extract is a little more 'dreamy'. Only difference IMO, I've done plenty of both.

I unplugged for real about 6 years ago. The main thing is to consciously make a decision that one is happy with poverty, because really the entire point of The System is to make things more efficient, consequences be damned.

I live in the country on an invalid's benefit. Right now it is cloudy and the wind is whirling in the mountains above my house. It's cold as fuck here (South Island of NZ in the middle of winter) and I am the happiest person I know by some margin (if you don't count the fellow I go and listen to at the Buddhist Centre on Wednesday evenings), despite being the poorest.

For 5,000 years Babylon has practiced its ability to tempt and entrance. Can you do without the pleasures she offers? If you can't, unplugging will be impossible.

I am currently unplugging. Its a process...for me it is. I quit my "high status" corporate job yesterday, in fact.

It seems to me as if literally nothing is really happening. It's one instance of - life. Everyone is moving to and from different - spaces. No one is going to the "future" or "past". We are just standing at different points and consuming and living according to the clock's movements.

We are all talking and acting according to what we're thinking everyone else is thinking. But. That doesn't even make sense. Because no one is ever thinking what you are thinking and its all just a big fuckup. And fuck all is happening anytime else. We are timeless. And killing ourselves.

Maybe I'm a complete idiot...haha

I'm sitting at home smoking a cigarette and drinking coffee within a giant sandbox that's not really that scary.... These words are being imprinted through a physical device and engraved into the sea of communication connected with physical cables. Transmitting particles and shit. I think that's how it works...

I'm fucking stupid. I don't know much about anything really but I do know I'm at my house on earth and there is no rush to die. We choose our poisons...

Guess I should stop smoking and drinking and fill that with something healthier. Not now though my body is relatively new.

What would you do in eternity?

All you need is to not kill yourself right now...

The rest is pretty much your choice if you can stomach a boss or friend or family member or stranger calling you names.

The world was created by who cares a billion movements ago. Let's move into something cool now and not blow ourselves up. Cool thing is we actually have the freedom into that which we are moving. But we have to build it.

We have science and brains to learn about how to use everything more efficiently.

You are as natural as can be. Have hands and feet and speech. We are manipulators. Maybe mundane right now. But shit! There's no rules except don't die...well. I think we're essentially the same mind underneath.

Being selfish in our knowledge doesn't really benefit anyone. Together we hold the power to create something spectacular. Not unicorn shit. Real. Tangible. This reality type of shit.

Realistically we can talk about the nature of the world as it is moving and thriving now in the absence of time. And accurately view ourselves objectively. We were what we always were. Here where we always were. Just here. On earth, running around, chasing shadows and dying. Yeaterday was a place. Tomorrow is now. Or whenever, rather, wherever you'd like. Realistically speaking though. We only have what we have right now. Which is literally everything, including our movements, in front of us.

And there's so so so much to discover.

And make and show to each other.

By the "time" (moment of movement) you are reading this I'll be some place else. But we'll be together either way. Just in our moment. Ever moving across eternity.

I'm curious, it is of course possible to live without punching a time clock, but many fill the void with TV or facebook in retirement. So 'unpluging' could be taken to have more than one level.

So perhaps there is also the question of what we do with our time and how we feel about that. Even a monk who feels he is competing with other monks, to sit the longest, or get the teachers approval, though poor financially and in that sense 'unplugged' is certainly not psychologically free.

So I'm vaguely curious what you do with your time that you enjoy.

It would seem enjoyment is a key, not size of bank account.

Children of course enjoy themselves a lot, but they lack equanimity,
and insight, etc. so perhaps there are a few more levels.

"I" ""you" "him" "her" "she" "he" and "they" are all used by the ego. To fully embrace the God mind we must prevent ourselves from using these words as they allow our demons (ego) to manifest. Until God is embraced we will not fully indulge in the truth that we are free to do as we please but convince others to believe in it souly for the purpose of reinforcing the belief in its truth. To become self reliant, we are to imagine that we are the last person alive on earth, and it does not matter whether or not we help people, because we can not be helped, we can only be offered the truth that allows us to help ourselves, though speaking the true word of God is the only way for anyone to hear the message.

None of us actually enjoy television, or games, or even music. it is our ego that drives us to do these things because of our dependency of other people in o rder to feel a sense of empowerment. these things we do are food for the ego and the bigger our ego the more power we feel. When we lack our true state of beingc empowerment is the only thing that makes us feel alive. We would not do any of these things if we were to find ourselves in a world in which we were the only occupant of. Everything that we do differently in this world than that imaginary world is because of our dependency of other people. If we were to live in that world, we would realize that people are not important to us and that we have a strong will to survive, and that we need nothing but ourself and God, or the God mind- ones true state of being. We work, express emotion, indulge in entertainment, and indulge in hobbies, food, sex etc, all for feeding our ego in order to gain empowerment over people, and it is all an illusion, as superiority is not real. Division is the illusion and we are the universe

Regarding employment, the term "corporate bragging" means to talk a lot about how incredibly busy you are.

Being "busy" is the # 1 complaint of humanity. As some say, it's a form of bragging. "I have more to do than you!"

Being "busy" is a modern day religion. We highly value people who appear super super busy.

Take two employees. One feels very hectic and busy, and the other is relaxed. Who do you respect more
and who gets the promotion? The busy person. Feeling "busy" is a voluntary state of mind and had nothing to
do with productivity. Feeling "busy" usually reduces productivity.

I took what you said and applied to my brain mechanisms and it rings true, man. I'm young and working at a fairly easy going place. My boss is very laid back and I have wondered for quite some time how he manages to keep his posture and patience while maintaining his work ethic.

There really is no rush to do anything. At least here where I am, luckily for me I suppose. I got bored at a time because work seemed to come in slow and I felt as if I wasn't "challenged" enough, but boredom is actually pretty awesome to be honest. And I have discovered so many things to "challenge" myself with between jobs.

Re: Unplug. [Re: remake]
    #23461477 - 07/21/16 02:34 AM (7 years, 6 months ago)

I woke up this morning at 4 am and wondered around my flat. I was pretty stressed over some girl I met and whether or not I should do something about it. While sitting, fervently toking a bong, I came up with a few simple words I am going to repeat to myself as often as possible:

I control my actions, emotions and thoughts.

Just that line, continuously. Might only work for me, but that's what I'm thinking right now.

You - control - your - body.

As long as we know this, we can see that time and impulse and "instinct" CAN actually be ignored and you CAN sit still and do nothing while "deadlines" whisk by.

Nothing happens until it is - made - to happen. No one can tell you what to do. You can't tell anyone else what to do. Nothing's going to drop from the sky. You're not going to wake up in the future.

Also looked at myself in the mirror, and I was like:

Okay. Hey! That is me. I'm not somewhere else. That's how I exist as of this moment. And I literally control everything I put in and do with that thing.

This doesn't eliminate "wants", but puts in perspective actual "needs". Which is basically nothing. We don't "need" as much as we think we do.

Observing other people stuck in a continuous rush, expressing sighs and moans, gossiping, hating, scheming and acting haphazardly on assumptions almost becomes hilarious.

People DEMANDING "respect" (or rather, in this sense - "power" over the individual, separate bodies of others) seems an extremely strange and ultimately futile pursuit as well. And it doesn't really make sense for people to feel they have no choice in being influenced by these "gods" standing over them.
