MEGA SUBAERUGINOSA - ID and information Request VIC

Hey guys,
I am 99% certain I have Psilocybe Subaeruginosa
But these are some of the biggest specimens I have ever seen.
They were growing in the usual bush habitat on the South East coast of Victoria among groups of native Xanthorrhoea One of these Grasstree's had fallen down and been burnt and these Subs had been growing out of the ashes.
The stems are about the thickness of my index finger with the largest cap diameter of 12cm. A lot of blue bruising throughout cap and stem.
If anyone has any idea what is going on with these pulsating mega shrooms - Please shed some light!

Wow, those are some beauties, they must have been growing in a spot which provided everything they needed in order to get so robust.

Jesus I have seen some big subs but never anything like this. Did you/could you weigh any of the large specimens incl. stem?
Looks like they really like the Xanthorrhoea as a substrate. Incidentally, they're some of my favourite native plants.
Did you find any other subs growing from Xanthorrhoea stumps or just this one?

Thanks Ent,
Unfortunately I don't have access to any scales and they are currently being dried. They did have a very heavy hand feel though as the stems were rock solid.
All the subs being dried in that last photo were found within a 1-2 metere vicinity of the Xanthorrhoea with some regular sized subs hiding underneath the larger ones as well.
I am kicking myself for not bringing my proper camera. I will be going back to this spot again before the season ends as I left many pins (The pins were also monster sized with stems already the same thickness as the ones pictured, just with a smaller, unopened cap)
I will bring my camera to take some better photo's and also plan to document the habitat and specific growing conditions for you all.

wow. these are some nice subs. you should take a clone from stipe butts, and try imitate the habbitat best you can. then you could grow these monsters yourself.
