Do you ever feel like a room hates you?

So I've been staying in this little house with three bedrooms and a living room all right on top of each other. I'm here with three other people and we all picked our own rooms. Being nice I let everyone take the ones they wanted. The couple took the upstairs the other took the room with one bed.
I was left with a room with two single beds on either side and a random ass wooden chair at the foot of one bed.
Anyways when I was checking it out I was like "word I can switch between the two beds".
The first night I was laying in the bed and I got this kind of strange feeling. Kinda like the fight or flight thing...you know the one...lol At first I was like "oh fuck it.new place prob just not comfortable...it'll pass" then just OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE I jump out of the bed overload with some sort of energy? And I just fucking ditched the room and sat on the couch.
Thinking it over for a minute I was like it's prob just my anxiety acting up and just passed out on the couch like within 5 minutes of running out of the room. I have insomnia so that shit NEVER happens lol.
The next day I went to change and the best way I can describe it is there's just an energy to that room...that specific room. And it's not a nice one. Whenever I go in there I get an overpowering sense of...doom. Just dread and doom. I can go in for like a minute tops before that ENERGY just FORCES me out. Something else that's strange? BOTH DOGS...who follow me everywhere and always try to sleep near me...DO NOT GO IN THAT ROOM!! They follow me to the door and just STOP IN THEIR PATH at the door.
Idk guys maybe I'm crazy. I think it might be some sort of spirit. The FUCK is going on here guys?

Oh yes, certain rooms can definitely have strong energies. You could try banishing rituals and sage smudging. There may also be artifacts within the room which have absorbed energies from their creator or possessor. This is especially true ov original artwork as i know first hand.

Its all in your head. It stems from fear. Much like the afraid of the dark complex most kids have had at one point or another. What are you afraid of? Death? The unknown? Either way you control the situation.

I've felt like a whole house has hated me before.`I'm very much a skeptic, simply because I think reality is especially subjective and that objective reasoning is an important tool..but man..this house.
So my friend's partner inherited it, it was in the middle of 12 acres of some pretty dense woods and there were a few structures on the property - notably the house, and a trailer just totally filled with all this unused stuff - apparently his grandfather was a really really bad hoarder the house was filled with stuff too and they cleaned it all out, so I never saw the true extent of the mess that the house was in - just the trailer and sheds and stuff. His grandfather and the women he was living with(not sure if it was grandma) died there, and god, did I have never felt more negative energy than I did there. The area was also subjected to fracking, mining, and just a whole bunch of really sad shit - and I often wondered of the consequences those things had on the environment - for instance, I know certain sounds that are at frequencies humans can't hear can still be perceived and still effect humans in the vicinity - it's known as infrasound. I don't know much about it but I've heard about it and will consider anything given the way this place made me feel.
The house and the different structures on the property had intercoms in all of them that they had to disable because they would go on at random times, they disable them before I visited so I can't say what happened exactly, I just know that they were disabled for a reason. Another time my friend and I went into the trailer to try and sort through some of the stuff, and while the trailer wasn't dirty...I felt incredibly 'unclean' going through that stuff. To the point where I refused to walk into the back room where the sunlight didn't quite hit, my friend went, and I heard so much noise back there, like someone was moving fast and shifting stuff through the room, and she re-emerged wide-eyed, asking me if I heard that. Apparently she heard a voice too, and though I didn't hear that, we both heard all the stuff moving and prompty exited.
It was a drive from me, so whenever I visited we usually hang out and I'd crash for the night, and when I crashed on that couch...god, it was just creepy. It was an A-frame house in the middle of the woods - floor to ceiling windows, the person that built it died there, and their one cat would just sit there with me, growling at unseen things like I've never heard a house cat growl.
I cannot make definitive statements on anything, but I do feel like there are some places I have been where emotions and experiences have been, for lack of better wording, kind of burned in.

Thank you! It's so insane how an energy of a place can illicit such strong emotions! So the animal you were with also picked up on the ominous energy? I've always been under the impression that animals were very good at sensing vibrations or energies.
Would you describe the sensation you were feeling as ominous or very heavy?

I would describe it as an innate sense of dread. I never ruled out the cat seeing animals outside(like I said this place was in the middle of the woods with floor to ceiling windows, and there was even rumors of a mountain lion documented in the area), but yeah, animals totally picked up on it. The area itself is super interesting - but depressed from mining of it's natural resources(very depressed former coal country now being used for fracking and for other weird shady shit that I think kind of casts a whole shadow on the region), and yeah, I can't speak for issues like mold.
I've gotten it before, while living in the attic of an old Victorian house in Philly. Could never figure out if it was anxiety from the genuine crime problem in that neighborhood or something in the house. One of my roommates actually got evicted(we were on separate leases - guess my landlord has wisened up a bit over the years lol) because he tried to tunnel through the walls - though that was far from the only stunt he pulled. Weird place.

Dread is a good way to describe it. That's def some weird shit. Victorian houses up here are creepy af. A few years ago I was staying on the top floor of one for a bit and I always had the same dread/doom/heavy vibe.
Occasionally I'd wake up at night and swear I had seen someone walk by me.
After I moved out I was talking to the guy who owned it and out of nowhere he tells me the reason he got the place for a bargain was because there was a murder suicide in the top floor room
Oh and for sure, animals pick up on some crazy things. Cats love crawling all over my guests when they're tripping

in my case I tend to catch emotions off of houses, like somehow human made objects and structures embody and crystallize pathologies neurosis etc and reverberate with them down the years.
oddly I gt nothing off of my own house even though its 100 years old and kind of spooky in parts

I am very good at reading people. It's not a sense of dread it situational awareness.
Most of the time I follow my gut. It has kept me alive when I shouldn't be. If you feel people hate you and they give you proof then fuck them let them be life is way too short.

it was really bizarre.

Trekie's rambling has been the best part of this thread so far.
I don't like the word "haunted" so much as "occupied". I definitely believe that experiences, emotions, and energies can be imprinted into a locality. Back when I was a child I saw what I believe was someone reliving their death or some seriously traumatic experience. It was my first time I seeing a "ghost".
I'd try doing some ceremonial cleanses of the space.

"Gut feelings" are pretty true most of time. I have them often but ignore or don't pay attention to them when I should. I once met a guy that lived by me and my mate befriended him. I had a bad/weird feeling about this guy from the time I met/talked to him. After I moved a way a few years later I heard/read in the paper that he shot a guy point blank in front of his son ( the person shot son). He was about mid 20's and the guy he shot was in his ;ate 40's, my age. I tripped mushrooms with the shooter and smoked out with him a lot. It could have easily been me!
I also think I have seen a ghost or presence once, but I was very young, maybe 7-8. I get feelings of dread/uneasiness in certain places/houses at times. The feelings are there for a reason.

Uhhh bad energy rooms. I find alot are just strong human emotional charges that are left imprinted into physical spaces too like others have mentioned. I can hear and feel if there's dead around but I hardly ever see them until they visit in my dreams.
Cleansing is best for imprints. But some are harder to deal with than others. More thicker air or something.
At my current residence, my friend committed suicide last year upstairs and we live in the basement. I can still feel some sad energy from him but he's not here. His wife's aggressive energy still lingers tho, but she is still alive. We think she drove him, along with stress, to take his life.
Have you done anything about the room since hearing about the suicide?

From my house? Sometimes. I was worried it was going to grow thicker or something. But alot went with his wife when she moved and I'm sure it's only a little in the spot my friend killed himself. I can feel it a bit but it's not as strong. Like a light sadness. He didn't really think about suicide for a while and he got drunk one night and decided to play Russian roulette, but he was def feeling depressed. Your space the person was probably feeling extreme for awhile before he did, so it could be alot stronger.
I haven't tried to do some sort of cleansing with it tho in the basement. I can't get to the house bc they're new owners now. But the basement is pretty clear. But sometimes I feel like being around the energy makes me sad. Like I'll be happy coming home and right when I'm here there's a slight heaviness on my emotions. Its nothing major but it's detectable. We're moving soon tho.
Have you gotten any sad feelings being around the energy in the room? Or just the apparent danger feeling.

i rented a 3 bedroom house once, with 2 rooms up front sharing a bathroom and a "master" sweet in the back with it's own bathroom. that back room was jacked, it had a back door to the yard that had like 6 locks on it and the frame was all messed up from getting kicked in.
before we cleansed the space and filled it with our energy the house was ominous, the ac would make strange rattles.
after some good vibes rolling and the sage action it went away. with continues to be the space where weird shit would happen. had a couple living with me that broke up,. one moved into that back room, the other one night went ape shit over some slut activity and smashed the laptop, threw the couch and bike in the pool ect. was pretty strange times with strange people.
bunch of losers, glad it was been years and years since seeing those users.

When I was particularly paranoid about spirits and demonic entities, when I had the demonic dreams as well, I'd sometimes get horrible feelings of dread and fear. It felt that something was watching me and close-by and a horrible smell would come out of no where. It would happen random and change in intensity/duration.
But, it stopped when I learned to deal with it, tell the evil spirit to fuck off and think positive Nevertheless, it is a very weird feeling.

I don't know if you have a witch shop near you or some spirituality store. But they usually have these sage bundles where you light the ends of them and put out the flame like incense and go around pushing the sage smoke into all corners and around the room. Also you could do a salt cleanse kind of the same way. The best is manifesting the energy into positive energy. Since energy can never be destroyed just changed. Think scientifically spiritualism.
You could also learn to energy shield for yourself if it affects you too much.
I can't really explain much now bc I'm just on a short break from work. I know Acaterpillar and Asante probably know much more techniques of this than I do.

You could seek out an elder to help you. They can act as a candelight in this shadowy world that is hard to perceive.
Do you have any preference to a spiritual tradition? Like Pagan, Native American, Abrahamic, or Eastern?

If you feel something in a room, most likely it is haunted. I stayed in my friends basement In CO springs, and in the morning I told him that i felt chills and realized the room had some energy.
He told me the room was haunted--someone had killed two children in it years before.
They had it worked and he says now it is ok.
But the important thing--you have more energy than something that has passed. But if you have any fear, you have less. You must laugh at the face of death in order to conquer your fear--if you have already faced death, and are dead, you have nothing to lose.
I always think this way. Its a way of thinking I garnered after some really hard core, mind blowing trips on 2C-E, 4-aco-dmt, mescaline, and 2C-P (along with healthy doses of synthetic cannabis)
You should always analyze a room or place you enter. if you notice, some places you will sit at, you won't be able to concentrate. Avoid these places. You want to find the places in a room where you sit or lay down and are perfectly relaxed and able to focus your thoughts on anything you want.
This is a major cause of bad trips. If you sit or lay in a negative place you will get very anxious. Avoid these places.
Realize that whether tripping or straight these points on the earth exist. Then you can always find the optimal place for your existence.
What will happen when you are tripping is when you find a place of optimal energy, you will feel euphoric, energized, and in complete control. If you get on a negative place, you will fidget, feel anxious, worry, etc.
An example from the real world: When you go to a job interview, find the power spot for yourself. If you do, your words and actions will flow and the person will be impressed. Sit at the wrong place, and you will fail miserably.
One of the strangest places I ever tripped in was this little park near my room when I was in grad school. I tripped hard on 2C-E a couple of times, and went there, each time i had this thought: "You are living in the land of the dead" Everything was like frozen, and completely without life. but i felt at ease. it happened 2 times in the same place.
There are lots of places like this. Just realize it and let if flow.

Don't fuck with that room. Dogs won't even go in? that's how you know it's for real. Probably NOT just in your head.
Anyone who tells you otherwise is probably trying to justify their own fears about the supernatural. Haha, I'm joking...

If it's not just your anxiety and/or the fact that you have this thought in your head now, I think it's a feng shui thing. I never really "got" feng shui until the one time I went pretty deep on K and stayed there for a good while... I started realizing how the relative position of objects in my room was able to change the energy or vibe in a major way. Did a pretty serious re-positioning of my room that day.
Anyway yeah, that may sound weird but I do actually buy in to the concept of feng shui now, at least as I understand it. Maybe just rearrange the room or something and see if that does anything. I know the philosophy goes much deeper than that but I'm not super familiar with the majority of the concepts. Shit, I think I'm going to do some research on this topic now, this re-sparked my interest.
