Like many things, sound in principle but spoilt by self serving corruption.

It's far from perfect, but I like the concept of it. It's good to know that there's an international forum like that for countries to settle disputes, ask for help, or in some cases plead their case for war with another. Although they're not always right and in some cases we'd do better not to follow their recommendations, we shouldn't be so quick to disregard them either. They are to a great extent a court of international opinion, and if we piss off the UN, there's a good chance we're pissing off a lot of the world(which is not good for fighting terrorism). My two cents.

A profoundly flawed, gutless, toothless debating society which should have been disbanded decades ago. Why the United States chooses not only to remain a member; not only to give it money; but to allow its headquarters to remain on US soil is a mystery to me.
