Why are you guys doing hpoo instead of CVG? Is there something I'm not aware of? I'm trying to get up to date on cultivation info, because I stopped paying attention for a pretty long time.

If I did that I would have to work another full time job just for the electricity bill It's in the mid 80's around this time but the tubs are obviously higher. Just threw away an oyster laundry basket after it turned green all the way through. When I put my hand in the tub it was in, the heat was uncomfortable. I swear it was at least mid 90's in there.

Only way you could get me to switch is if the hpoo was free.

Even if it is free I wouldn't switch. Coir is easier to prepare, especially if I am making a bunch of tubs.

Upper 90s? Damn. Your spawn must be on point to be avoiding contams at that temp.
And it is my understanding that poo is far more nutritious than CVG. More nutes can mean larger yields. All I know is it is free and I'm stoked about that. Also I like how the poo sub is much more firm than CVG. I get much much less crators when harvesting.
I did see a 2oz increase in Poo PE tub vs CVG tub.

I got a little $112 air conditioner at Walmart. Brings the room from 100°F down to 65°F. About $25 a month, but we have some of the cheapest electricity in the country. It's a public utility here.

I would only use poo for Pan. Cyanescens. You can get the same yields from coir. I don't know what you mean about firmer sub either, because coir has a whole bunch of thick hard strands in it that hold it together for me... Poo tends to be musher ime. I suppose it is preference.

That's probably it, (properly prepared) poo isn't fibrous in the same way, so it's less cohesive than coir, which pulls craters when you harvest because of the long strands of fiber.

Around here, if you were to leave the AC on 24/7, you might as well ask them to put in the old electricity meter in so you can use that as a fan also.
As far as poo goes, I wouldn't say that it has some insane quantity of nutes. I do believe that it has a better variety of them though. I have noticed thicker, taller and denser fruits since I switched but cubes are known to not care about how nutritious it's sub is. With a lot of nutes, come a lot of mutants. Variety plays a larger than quantity, that's why RR recommended mixing different bulks.
And inoc, don't diss my poo, I am saving a shitload of money with this. Coir is too expensive around here, this poo is like 7.50 euro per 60l. Not free, sure, but infinitely better than 5.50 per 8l. I cut mine with straw as well so it lasts even longer than coir would on it's own.

I guess if I were to add poo to my mix, I would pasteurize a couple tubs worth, and work it into the coir for a better nute profile. I honestly haven't ever noticed a difference though. I used to use a very complicated substrate mixture, and it didn't really show much benefit (except for those Tampanensis in my sig). That Tampanensis grow was WILD! I wish you guys could have seen it in person!

Horse poo is quite fibrous, aged cow poo is more like rich topsoil.
Coir definitely allows GE like a beast and holds/transfers liquids effectively. Mycelium that doesn't have to build a strong matrix (borrows cellulose matrix) will spend less animo acids on chitin. Straw fits this category well too.
Speaking of straw, that's what dried Tamps feel like in your mouth lol

That makes sense. Sometimes I feel like we here at the shroomery take 'bro-science' to the next level (in a good way)
In retrospect, I must say that I have only ever actually used cow manure, and it was bagged, so I do not have anything to offer on that subject.

Yeah, I was quite thrilled. Tamps are actually great fruiters, and they kick out flushes very quickly. I used a pretty complex substrate mix for that. If I remember correctly, it was CVG, cow manure, straw, sesame seed oil (A couple tsp), and... some other shit... I don't remember exactly... Worked like a charm though!

I know it helps, but I don't think you need poo for Pan Cyans. Going to try some on CVG soon with a mini and see what happens. Live in the city and don't want to travel far for hpoo.
Impressive tamp grow, bro. You're a very skilled cultivator. How are tamp fruits compared to cubes? And how are the stones?
