fungal infection of the face
    #23415763 - 07/06/16 01:37 AM (7 years, 6 months ago)

Ever since going on antibiotics for a while last year ive had a fungal overgrowth.
Rashes on the groin, fungal toenails, rashes on the jawline.

Now its spreading to my face. Ive tried systematic antifungals to no effect and ive lost faith in doctors.

If it gets much worse i think i might shoot myself.

Thank you

Sounds like a couple weeks outdoors in the desert would be good for you.

Sorry to here about your situation. I had rhus dermatitis internally once, so I can relate to your agony.

I'm sending positive vibes your way man.

Anon 3 is right heat, humidity, tight non-breathing clothes are all the problem. Take extra showers, use ISO on the crotch each night and try not to spread it around yourself (or others) too much by scratching and infected area then scratching a non-infected area, especially one that dosen't get lots of air and is prone to be sweaty. There are anti-viral drugs that will help but they are very expensive. The stuff over the counter is almost useless. Hot water will help temporarily to get rid of the itch and anti-itch creams will help. Main thing is keep the areas dry & clean. The bad news is you will likely have to live with it for the rest of your life, the good news is that with a little bit of ongoing maintenance it is no big deal, just don't lend your shoes to anyone.

A quick and easy treatment for this is dissolve sulfur in hot olive oil, let cool with stirring and apply liberally to affected areas. You can add  some copper and magnesium sulfate ground to a fine powder to it to make it even more effective. It's the sulfur dioxide released from the sulfur, copper and magnesium ions that get rid of the fungus.

sounds quite harsh, cause the face is sensitive if i put anything like that on it it tends to go very red

antibiotics kill bacteria, not fungi.  antifungals kill fungi but OP says they haven't been working.

what probably happened is that the original antibiotics threw your natural skin fauna out of whack, allowing fungi that were normally present, but held in check by beneficial bacteria, to flourish.

you need to get your normal balance of skin buggies back again... maybe get a close family member to rub a moist towel around their skin before letting you do the same???

Absolute genius.

This seems like the most likely cause.

Also sounds like a logical approach to solution. If op could spend a couple weeks to a month in the desert applying your treatment thrice daily I would be very interested to observe the results.

Just developed a 100% botanical herbal remedy (Niacinamide/Tea tree oil/Vit C/15 other essential oils) that cured my year long ringworm on my inner thigh - tried EVERYTHING even the antifungal pills. This finally worked. I'll send you some to try if you would like =/

I used to get nasty in grown hairs on my mustache and beard (grew one to hide the shit). I know it's apples to oranges but when I started applying tea tree oil to my face it stopped happening so much. I was scared for years to get rid of my beard since everyone looks at you sideways if you have a "facial deformity". Sometimes the simplest things can be the answer... check out some dermatologist Web pages while you wait on your appointment. I'm Caucasian and have fine hair but it curlyque'd. It doesn't really do it anymore and I work it into my beard once or twice a week. You sound young, this shit happens. Start with small things that may help and go up from there. You may accidentally be using something that exasperates your condition.

Tried something rather intersting,
so bascially the conditon is caused by antibiotic use, all the bacteria die and fungus overgrows.
So the only solution is restore the bacteria. This fungus is resistant to all antifungals I have tried.

So what i have done, is consume a healthy persons shit.
Also known as a fecal matter transplant.

I will continue to consume every day and see what happens.

this really is my last resort this disease is detroying my life

that's not going to restore external bacteria man...

that therapy is for restoring intestinal populations...

go rub some used sweaty towels all over your body instead.
