Perlite and humidity

I have a shotgun fruiting chamber made up, believe its over 100qts, and have about 4inch of perlite but my humidity is at a constant 85%-90%. A couple questions, should i add more perlite, and should I have water sitting at the bottom of the container? I've had 2 successful grows with this exact container but since its the summer i believe the humidity might be dropping because the a.c is on much more frequntly. Any feedback is appreciated guys! I can add pics if needed

Are they b+?
I'd say 90% humidity is enough for a healthy grow and 4" sounds perfect.
I personally use anti bacterial paper towels at the side of the Container and spray them with water to keep up humidity but I'm only working with what I have. Hope one of the trusted cultivators help you man, good luck with your grow!

Ditch the hygrometer, problem solved. If the chamber was built right, then the RH is perfect. Nowhere in the SGFC tek does it say anything about monitoring the RH.

you should throw away the hygrometer, you want fluctuating RH in the air to help evaporation. just look at your cakes to determine whether to mist or not. looks dry = mist. does not look dry = dont mist.
