I trip all the time, I don't know... it used to be more fun. I think I've pushed it too far though. I don't like drinking, really shouldn't drink at all anyways do to a health issue.
But yeah in 2015 I developed a medical condition that basically made my life suck. My body rejects food, lost weight, don't absorb calories or nutrients well..cost me a job that was already shit to begin with.. So now tripping feels different. I still do it, and sometimes it's great, but I don't regret any of my past experiences, I learn a lot from most of them.
Just seems like the world is descending into madness and when I trip now, it's hard to look away and pretend that everything is fine. Which is a lesson in itself, we do need to change, I need to change, but tripping really digs into it.

It is definitely possible to go too far "in" to the psychedelic mind as you call it and if you don't want it to happen to you then I would just recommend staying away from frequent heavy dosages. It's not like after a certain number of trips your brain just changes- you just have to let yourself totally recover between trips and you'll be fine. If you're only doing it a few times a year I think you should be fine. I altered my brain chemistry after 5 months of taking LSD every other week. I was fine til I started taking higher doses and then one day I took 300ug and my brain hasn't been the same. I'm not bugged by it and I still trip every other week but I can see how it might be bothersome to someone who isn't super dedicated to psychedelics. I hope this helps

LSD can change your chemistry and genetics much easier than psilocybin

Just a warning from sources I've had. Sorry but it's second-hand.
I prefer natural chems anyways.

Thats how "shrooms make your brain bleed" became so popular. Passing on information from the guy who started it without doing research.

I can't say how LSD actually makes the changes, but I can say from my experience that it's sort of like not coming all the way down from a trip. The LSD opened up some new neural pathways in my brain allowing for much more creativity and deeper thought patterns. When it first happened I was super anxious and my mind was constantly racing with annoying songs stuck looping in my head for hours at a time so I started meditating more regularly and the negative effects diminished and my mind feels much more clear. It's like the acid just let loose a bunch of psychological garbage and when I let it run it's course without medicating, it just faded after a couple months and now I'm just more creative and have deeper meditations and am more mindful of my own actions. And on top of that, I get visuals quite frequently. color enhancement, mild distortions and afterimages. Nothing I find distressful, but like a said earlier- if you're someone who isn't very invested in psychedelics, I would be cautiousQuote:

I have heard from so many people that "it makes your brain stem bleed", and these people STILL take it...... 5 minutes of research can show you that Hoffman took it a bunch and he was still brilliant even as a very old man. If I really believed that it made my nervous system "bleed", I would never have tried it. Amazing what myths are out there and what people will still do even believing them.

Nothing beats that time a kid came in here saying he was going to make LSD with just a pressure cooker, rye, and a sack of potatoes.

nothing like some home made needlepoint potato acid. I took that shit one time, Jerry Garcia gave it to me. He said Tim Leary made it in his acid pressure cooker. I tripped hard off just one hit. He told me it was a secret recipe
