PLeeaasse help a newbie! PF Cakes neglected for 72 hours
    #23409306 - 07/04/16 04:47 AM (7 years, 6 months ago)

Hey guys,

This is my first post for my friend whom is a novice pf tek grower.  MY friends issue is that he had to leave his PF cakes for 72 hours because he and I left town for the long weekend.  He has a greenhouse/terrarium set up with humidifiers running inside of the greenhouse @99% humididty.  The water in the humidifiers probably ran out within 24 hours and the plants have not been watered or fanned during that 72 hour period.  He did pick all the mushrooms off the cakes first flush (pinheads, everything).  They cakes were bare when we left town.

Questions are:

1)What kind of condition can he expect the cakes to be in when he gets back?

2)What can he do to get the cakes healthy and up and running again?

Please guys any and all help will be appreciated.

If he already picked the first flush, just dunk them in a container of water for 12-24 hours, and put them back in the fruiting chamber.  If they already have shrooms growing in the second flush, you could inject water into them or just continue to mist and fan.
