Ayahuasca and serotonin uptake.

I've read in a study that regular healthy ayahuasca drinkers have more dense pathways for a more sufficient serotonin uptake.

Which apparently means that even with less serotonin you can uptake more.

Also people report after this that they are generally more sensitive to other psychedelics too. Just smoking weed can feel like tripping again, a half tab of acid might feel like a whole one.

I'm not sure what causes this, the DMT, harmala alkaloids, THH or all together?

For practical reasons I have never tried ayahuasca. I don't have the time to cook it, can't travel, not having money, I don't want to vomit my guts out etc etc.

Dropping acid, eating shrooms or even smoking DMT is way more practical.

I have dropped acid many times and even though I feel enlightened I am tired the next day a lot and I don't feel much smarter if anything I feel lazy to think.

Ate shrooms once, caused me an unbearable mindfuck, and the next day instead of having an afterglow I way depressed because my parents found out I ate them and disowned me.

I haven't tried DMT in any form yet, but I assume it would be a beautiful short acting experience that would leave me with a nice afterglow, but is the afterglow somewhat permanent?

For those who have both tried ayahuasca, shrooms and vaporized DMT. Please compare the cognitive after effects after each. I've heard of report of ayahuasca improving memory, permanently curing PTSD and depression which my previous psychedelic use didn't quite fix.

I really hope ayahuasca can change that since I do feel my brain chemistry being slightly of. A normal person gets exited by stuff, I don't. I'm either neutral or sad which is annoying.

The more you stimulate an area or class of receptors the more the brain generates new receptors of the same class.  Much like having more nicotine receptors due to exposure to tobacco.  Maybe we can grow in one area too much.  Buddha spoke of the middle way.
