Bottom pic looks bacterial with the metabolites after only 11 days.
Middle jar looks suspect as well with the thick leading edge..
Though even when bacterial usually can pull a flush...

you probably wont smell anything from the holes, unless its super contam'd. but you will when you open it at birth time.
Also, bacterial jars can still smell ok. if you smell something gross, then you know you have bac/contam. but if you smell just healthy mushrooms smell, then you do NOT know with 100% certainty, that you have clean spawn.
beat me to my edit.

not NECESSARILY true. while mupet is 90% correct, there are times where contams can be present without any smell whatsoever. so dont ALWAYS assume that you are A-OK just because it doesnt smell funky.

The fruits will be fine, as long as the fruits themselves are not covered in contamination. It's definitely contaminated now, but that doesn't mean anything in particular if it stays the same size. There isn't a whole lot of difference between "looks pretty contaminated" and "definitely contaminated" though. Just have to keep an eye on it at this point, especially for molds, since bacteria helps invite them.

lol where there is mycelium, it will feel like mycelium, yes. and if/when fruits form, i assume they will be safe(unless they are overcome by some form of contam as well.)
the spot shouldnt get bigger as it isnt necessarily a mold, its bacteria. you can tell its bacterial because the mycelium has abruptly stopped growing in that specific area.
if/when you take the cake out, i would suggest you carefully remove the bacterial areas and put it into fruiting and hope for the best. you might come out with some mushrooms; you might not. that all depends on genetics, proper environment, level of contam etc.
good luck buddy (: you'll learn with time and your success will grow.

This is the truth: BRF cakes are always going to be at least a little contaminated. It's the nature of the method, it's just that it's also somewhat resilient despite the fact. This is why it's a 'race against time' to get the cake colonized. The quicker the mycelium can colonize the cake in the face of the contams, the better. If the mycelium doesn't finish before it's overwhelmed, you get a 'stalled' cake. you may still be able to get fruits off it too.
and the fruits will be fine.
i'd really recommend keeping an eye out for the stout, 1/2 pt. widemouth jars. They have a better track record than those tall jars.
