Growing 'inky caps'?

I stumbled upon the mushrooms a while back and I've been really interested in them ever since then. Has anyone ever grown these? I know they're actually in the contamination thread so I assume you can.
I'm really interested in growing them so I can bottle the ink for writing. If I find anymore can I take it home quickly and cut a piece of the inner tissue to transfer to agar? Could I just do my regular coir tek and everything like normal?
Thanks.

Turns out my spore supplier sells both spore syringes and culture slants of the coprinus species. It gives a few vague hints to growing them that I'll have to look into.. The main question is can they be grown on a coir substrate?

I found this.
Quote:
Ecology: Grows on buried wood, straw in enriched soils. May be found in grass lands, or along road sides.
Cultivation: this species is less sensitive to the substrate on which is cultured, because is quite resistant to the attack of various competitors (parasite fungi or nematods). For incubation requires 15-25 C/ 33.8-77 F temperature and for mushroom fructification and collection a temperature of 15-18 C/ 59-64.4 F. In addition requires a moderate ventilation of 3-4 air changes /hour. It has the advantage that doesn't require substrate heat treatment.
The incubation time is of 10-20 days from inoculation, while the fructification occurs in 15-25 days from the moment of substrate maturation (the end of spawn run through the substrate mass).
The cultivation substrate: The substrate used for the cultivation of Coprinus includes a combination of straw 60% and manure 31% (cow, horse, pig or chicken), and 1% gypsum. Sawdust is also part of some formulas for the cultivation of this mushroom. You should take care of the following when cultivation this fungus: 1. The straw used for cultivation should be fresh and free of contamination with other fungi 2. The humidity in the compost should not exceed 65-68% (when squeezed in your hands should not let any water drops) 3. The compost should not have a sour smell.
Now I know it keeps mentioning straw and cow/horse/pig/chicken shit but is there any chance I could do this with just coir. I assume it requires so much straw because it needs more air exchange so I figured I could just double the vermiculite I use and leave loose polyfil in the tubs during the colonization stages AND the fruiting stages, and also fanning it (which I normally never need to do on other mushrooms)

Can't say I have ever tried to grow them but one of my resource books says they prefer composted mixtures of manure and cereal straw with cotton seed hulls or other agricultural by product. They also apparently require a casing soil to form primordia.
I am guessing if they need composted material they are not good as primary decomposers and pure coir may need to be composted first..

There is a bunch of info out there on growing shaggy mane, Coprinus Comatus.
Check out shroomery's page on it. I'm pretty sure it's from one of the Stamets books. Check those out for more info too.
Here is a link to the shroomery page. it has some specs on suggested substrate.
