Lemon essential oil is the real deal for anti nausea!

Ever since I got my hands on mushrooms I would always experience very uncomfortable nausea on the comeup. Same for truffles. 9/10 times this would end up with me vomiting. This wasn't the end of the world, I felt great afterwards, but it was never exactly a pleasant experience and I feel like it had begun to contibute to my comeup anxiety a lot.
I tried lots of things over the years (making tea, peppermint tea, ginger, fasting etc) but nothing ever worked, so I'm not sure if I was experiencing nausea from chitin so much as seretonergic nausea. I'd heard about lemon essential oil helping to decrease seretonergic nausea, so yesterday I gave it a proper shot.
Here is the science, copied from another forum:
Quote:
Essential lemon oil contains beta-pinene, which is a 5-ht3 antagonist.
5-ht3 is responsible for generating the nausea/vomit feelings/actions in your body. And serotonergenic psychedelics are agonists for this receptor. as well as other 5-ht receptors which cause the psychedelic effects.
From reports - reducing the antagonism on the 5-ht3 receptor does not quell the psychedelic effects.
I didn't use any special type, just a small dropper bottle of lemon essential oil purchased in a hippy store. I took 4-5 drops on the back of my tongue, washed down with water 30 mins before ingesting truffles. Right after the truffles I took another couple of drops on my tongue, and a little more water.
Not only did I avoid vomiting, but I did not experience the slightest hint of nausea at any point. I was extremely skeptical, so I don't believe it was placebo.
I've also heard that lemon essential oil aids with clarity and positivity - now I'm not sure if I necessarily believe it was a byproduct of the lemon essential oil itself or merely a side effect of not experiencing nausea during the comeup for the first time in my life - but I had the smoothest, happiest comeup I've ever experienced on a psychedelic yesterday.
Can't say enough positive things about this. If you experience nausea on the comeup of mushrooms, truffles, or even other psychs, I'd recommend trying it out. I just thought I'd post this because I've only ever seen a couple of vague posts about lemon essential oil before and I've never seen anyone suggest how much to use.
It'd be great to hear from anyone else who's tried this, and if you try it yourself please reply here and post your results! I'll certainly be doing it from now on.

Great advice. I will keep this in mind, for I sometimes experience nausea on mushrooms.
But, I think using the abbreviation LEO is confusing. It already means Law Enforcement Officer. You know, the po-po. 5-0. 6-up. ACAB.

Ah, I'm with you. We don't say that here but I've edited it out, thanks!

I wanted to talk about their experiences of using essential oils this year. I have great help here this recipe:
- 8 drops of jojoba oil
- 4 drops of ginger essential oil
- 4 drops of lemon essential oil
Directions: In a clean, dark-colored glass bottle, blend the aromatic oils with jojoba oil. Then add a few drops of the mixture to your aromatherapy diffuser, and mist the atmosphere of your room (source) Be sure to try this recipe - it is safe and effective
